I'm new to the forum and this is a great resource. I'm 42 and have low T. My four blood draws over three months showed average T of 280 so my endo put me on the underarm topical 60 per day. My low T symptoms were inability to build muscle mass with working out 3-4 days per week & some tiredness.

I started HRT seven days ago and I feel absolutely miserable now. I apply 30 to each armpit every morning at 7am. I feel extremely lethargic all day now, went from 225 to 235 lbs in these seven days and don't have energy to go to the gym. I had muscle and lower back soreness the first few days but that's gone now. I start to feel a little better around 11pm but not great.

Any insight or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Insight would be to be patient. TRT does not work that quickly. Your hormones are in flux right now. Basically your endogenous T production is shutting down while the exogenous (gel) is taking over and building up within your system. Bear with it and give it some time. You should be pulling BW in about 4 weeks or so to check levels and this will be when you make adjustments.

At the top of this forum in the Finding A Doc sticky thread is a list of follow-up blood work to obtain if possible.
