A question regarding thyroid
What is exactly would make a synthetic thyroid like Sytheroid or Levothroid work better then a natural thyroid such as Armour in some people?
I know that the answer in testosterone replacement therapy though I'm not sure in thyroid therapy
I have been on armour for quite some time and am just curious though I have read horror stories about synthetic thyroid though I also feel like my thyroid could be functioning better then it currently is?
Any thoughts suggestions or opinions?

I have never heard anyone say thyroxine (T4) works better than Armour. People who have difficulty converting T4 to T3 in their tissues can benefit from Armour over thyroxine because it not only contains T4, but also contains T3, which is the more metabolically active form of thyroid hormone. People who convert T4 to T3 just fine are often fine on just synthetic thyroxine.

I can try to help further if you give me details on why you think your thyroid could be working better, and copies of blood work (specifying how long before the blood work you took your last dose of Armour).
