Question Docs says that my bloodwork is fine (20 years old)

    Hey guys!

I joined this forum to ask a very specific question about my bloodwork and get some education. I will try to explain it as detailed as possible that you guys can help me, because Im really desperated at the moment.

Iam 20 years old and I still dont have a "real" beard, eventhough im very very hairy in general (talking about chest, abs, legs..)
All in all I feel like I never really had a real puberty, because I look very childish without my wannabe-beard. In addition to this point to understand what I mean: I have a very high natural bodyfat, nearly no natural muscle, no Adam's apple, very small joints. Also I dont remember myself ever going through puberty voice change. Lastly I have a small penis and a gynecomastia .

I lost a lot of bodyfat over the years from 45% to 20-25%. The lowest was 20%. Its like I cant go lower, because my body does everything to avoid it like panic attacks and stuff (tried a lot in the past). In addition to that I went to the gym and built a very small amount of muscles over the last 3 years of serious lifting and tracking my meals.

Now after I had suffer a lot of lack of energy and stuff. I went to the doc and he said it could be low-t or the thyroid. Got tested and since then I know that I have a Hypothyroidism. I still thought that I have low-t, because I thought that my levels are and were at the very low end, especially considering that I was 19 and Iam 20 years old.

    Bloodwork 2015:

    IGF-1: 366 ng/mL
    Test: 3.79 ng/mL (2-9.8)
    SHBG: 17.8 nmol/L (10-57)
    FSH: 2.12 mIU/m
    LH: 4.53 mIU/m
    Estradiol: 31.2 pg/mL

    TSH 8.48 mIU/L (.3-3.6)
    fT4 9.91 pg/ml (8-19)
    fT3 2.69 pg/mL (1.5-4.1)

    -> (after 5-6 months)

    TSH 1.59 mIU/L (.3-3.6)
    fT4 12.3 pg/ml (8-19)
    fT3 2.65 pg/mL (1.5-4.1)

    Bloodwork 2016:

    FSH: 1,2 mIE/ml
    LH: 2,6 mIE/ml
    Prolac: 198 mIU/l
    SHBG: 15,91 nmol/l
    Testosterone(total): 11,30 nmol/l (6.68nmol/l - ?)

As you can see there is a negative difference, eventhough my Hypothyroidism got medicated between 2015 and 2016.

I have some bloodworks of 2015 were all testosterone levels were nearly the same. Around 11-12nmol/l. In addition to that I think my FSH, LH and SHBG levels are very low too.

After all that I asked 4 docs (2 urologists and 2 endocrinologists) and all said that everything is fine!!!

    Now I ask myself:
Am I overdoing it and in fact there is nothing wrong like the docs said and I need to wait until Im 25 years old or do I need to get medicine as fast as possible? (worried about missing my puberty)

If Iam right and the docs wrong, how do I get the medicine and what medicine or a doc that accepts to treat my low-t...? (living in germany)

Thanks to all who took the time to read everything!!!!

hi Anonym8 , can you rewrite your lab results with the reference ranges please?

    eg. Test: 3.79 ng/mL ( 2.0-30.00 ng/mL)

    First off welcome.

Re: the 20% BF thing. I bet if you came over and hung out in the Diet and Nutrition Forum and started posting what you eat, the members would help you figure out a way to help get you to a bit lower BF. Step by step. May as well.

    See ya there.

Thank you! Like I said: I had a lot of diets that were strict and good prepared. I know what to do, but after I reach the 20% its like hitting a wall. Cardio and diet dont change anything.

To the thyroid BW point: will add them now, if I find them. Only thing I know was that they were perfect after 6 months but the testosterone level stayed the same.

Good Tip! Already considered but 2 major things speaks against this theory

    1. My fsh and lh are low that should mean that I have a secondary hypogonadism. I think Klinefelter patients always have primary hypogonadism.

    2. My endo is a very weil known expert on this subject. He said that I dont have klinefelter, didnt test me though.

You are welcome. And thyroid looks pretty good. That's a big improvement. SO now c'mon over to the eating area. I wage my bets it will help.

Yeah my doc said the same. I will join the eating area, when I start my next diet in 1-2 weeks. At the moment Iam exhausted and have a lot mood swings without any reason so I try to avoid any stress.

I hope more people will notice this thread and someone has a specific advice for me except for the eating area.

I understand and the last thing I want to do is be pushy and stress is not something anyone wants. When you're ready, you're ready. Curious as to your sugar intake?

My sugar intake at the moment is increased.

I bet its like 20-50gr or even more per day for sure. I try to eat what I want to eat since new year, because of the reason named above.

First off, I don't know what the "real" issue is. Plus I'm not a doc and would never ever pretend to be. But. I do know this. Food makes a big difference in mood. And. Exercise helps prevent mood swings a lot imo. Even simple things like getting outside every single day makes a difference. Are you getting outside?

    push as in bump?

Still not clear as to what you're after. If taking hormones, let's say Test for example, it might have a reverse effect. Main thing is to take advantage of your natural test, especially at age 20, before messing around with synthetic test.

Is this what you're after? Need to be a bit more clear, please, and the fellas will chime in.

Yeah, talking about a bump to get more attention.

That are my biggest numbers in testosterone level. I have a very health lifestyle with a lot of quality food and planned meals. In addition I do a lot of sports (lifting and cardio) and Im active in general. So Iam already taking advantage of my maximum natural test.

I can just repeat what I wrote in other words.

I think that all my symptoms are related to my test level. I wanna know:

    1. Do I have low testosterone or not? I want to hear other opinions whether they agree or not with the docs telling me that everything is fine.
    2. If yes, but every doc is refusing to accept it, what can I do to find the reason and solution for my problems?

Total testosterone is a not a good indicator, why didnt you test Free Test?

If your free test is mid range your LH is quite normal.
