It's really up to you but running hcg will maintain some testicular function

the decision to "HCG or NOT (HCG)" really depends on the circumstances you find yourself in. At 48, are you planning on having any more children?

at my age, I've adopted a philosophy that "less is more" which also includes HCG. If you need HCG for something very specific, then by all means. But if you do not have a clearly defined reason for taking, (other than maintaining testicular size, in my humble opinion), then I'd recommend thinking long and hard about taking HCG for TRT purposes. TRT is for life, and so if you are taking HCG to counter TRT sides, then that too is for life. Is HCG something you want to take the rest of your life?

To me, keeping my testicals functioning and producing some intratesticular testosterone is important. I don't plan on letting any body part wither unnecessarily. Your point on fertility is duly noted but know that there are LH receptors throughout your body and many men report a much improved libido and overall well being when using HCG .

Personally, it's a no brainer to stay on HCG . I'll keep the gonads working thank you. While most insurance wont cover it, it's still pretty reasonable for Rx at around $110-$120 for 10,000 IUs that lasts >90 days. People get it for less from over seas & through U.S. based compounding pharmacies with a script...

Do you test for prolactin in your last bloodwork (or any bloodwork)?

Your AI dosage of 0.5mg EOD seems high based on your TRT dose. Does your bloodwork support that amount?
