Advice for adding gear to HRT?
After reading a bunch of threads and doing tons of my own research I want to start my first cycle. Here's my situation though: I'm on prescription HRT already from my doc. 100mg injectable test a week and 2 bottles of Androgel per month. With that in mind what gear should I add to that? More Test? Any advice?

Thought there might be some unique perspective from the HRT community. Thanks anyway.

Austinites thread covers it all. Just make sure that you spend a decent amount of time exhausting the gains you can make from the restored T levels that your HRT protocol provides you with. Remember, cycling is useless if you don't eat sufficiently and train intensely enough to maintain your gains. Otherwise, all you will do is gain some weight / muscle when on and lose most of it when you come off.
Suppose you're 180 pounds and want to be 200. To do that you need to eat like a 200 pound man, and continue to do this. Whatever new found muscle gained on cycle will not just automatically stay with you. Easier said than done. Most tend to waste their money. Study and learn all you can before you choose to embark on this.
Also, why on earth would your doc provide you with both injections and agel? Makes zero sense.

Was wondering the same thing about getting both injections and gels, that's weird. Do you actually use both? If you don't mind sharing, what is your full trt protocol?

I started on gel. On gel alone my overall test got up to about 700. Not high enough for me. I read that injections were the way to go so I asked my doc to switch. He wanted to put me on 200mg injections every 2 weeks. I wanted it more frequently so he agreed to 100mg a week. So I stopped gel and went injection only. After about 2 weeks I felt horrible. I got blood work immediately to check and my test was back down to 200 from the injections alone! I asked for more mg but he only agreed to put me back on gel. I begged to stay on injections and he agreed to both and that's why I'm currently at 100mg injections a week and 2 bottles of gel a month. I'll take what I can get.
Right now I'm leaning to just buying additional test above what my doc is providing or trying a cycle of something else to supplement the HRT. I'm leaning towards Tren (but that's for the Anabolic Steroids forum).

Baxter35, you asked "full HRT protocol". What I said above is it. It's all I can get out of my doc anyway. The only thing I added on my own (so far) is estrogen blocker. I wish my doc would provide it but he won't (I asked). I started to feel tenderness in the nipples so I immediately rushed to get my own estrogen blocker and it fixed it right up. I do the blocker consistently with what I mentioned above. I realize my doc is shortchanging me on this whole thing probably because he doesn't know enough about it but I don't pay anything out of pocket for what I get and going outside of the healthcare system I'm in would cost me more money. But, I'm about to embark on paying more out of pocket to add to it now.

100mg a week is a bit low. I do 140mg a week 70mg every 3.5 and it keeps me about 750 total test. 100mg every 3.5 and I am at the upper range about 1100 total test. I also have found that if you inject in the belly fat it doesn't seem to obsorb the same as in lower fat areas.

There's your problem. You waited a whole two weeks. You need to wait about 6 weeks before you pull blood work on injections to allow serum levels to rise. Combining both forms of testosterone is absolutely unnecessary. If gels didn't get you where you want / need to be then stick with injections, be patient and adjust based on blood work done at proper intervals. You need to get dialed in with your protocol before you venture into cycles. More is not always better.
Speaking of cycles, Tren is not something to be considered for a first cycle, or second or third for that matter. It's the most powerful anabolic there is and with that comes side effects. Read Austinites Successful First Cycle Thread and follow that when the time comes.

Alright guys. Thanks for the advise. I'm going to talk to my doc and see what we can do after some blood work. As far as Tren , I'm not going to dive in to that right now. At least not until I get my HRT dialed in. Thanks again!
