Low libido, weak erections, high T
Old TRT doc "disappeared" about a year ago, so I've been going it alone for the past year. So haven't had blood work done since I wouldn't know what to do with the results anyhow. Quite positive that my T levels are high, point is, I'm also pretty sure that either my e2, prolactin, and/or shbg is also high, which I've read can have a negative effect on sex drive, erection strength, etc. now I can get a full hormone panel done at a clinic in town, without an order from a doc, my main questions is, if I find out that one or all is high, or out of "optimal" range, are there things I can do/take to fix?
I would assume so, since a few weeks ago, my drive was through the roof. The only change to my regimen, I was taking some proviron for a couple months. I haven't been taking any antiE or AI, no hcg , but did start taking a small amount of deca (a prog I know) but about half the dose of test I take weekly. Cialis seemed to help, but recently, hasn't seemed to be enough. Will foresee several "go see a doc", but money is tight, and every doc I've talked to wants you to buy there $150 bottles, go see there $300 labs, and pay there monster fees, and I can supply for way less, get labs for way less, and skip the fee, hopefully, If I can get some helpful advice here. Long time cycler, but now at 40, been on the HRT route for a few years....any advice/help greatly appreciated, PMs also welcom.

You can find the list of tests to be done on the "Finding a Physician" thread at the top of the page. After that post up the results and the knowledgeable people here will help you out.

You only have one body. If your not going to a doctor and your self medicating why not use private md for lab work? Keep those bloods in check man. Have you checked BP?

Not to beat a dead horse, but bloodwork is VITAL whether you are self-medicating or under the treatment of a physician.

There are a lot of "ifs" and assumptions in your post. I was always taught as a youngster growing up that it's a good idea to save money but NEVER at the expense of having enough food to eat. You gotta eat to stay healthy. I'd expand this idea to what you are asking about in your post regarding your health.
You're just going to have to work harder at finding a doctor who will take care of you - and make the investment necessary. And I'd also suggest you stop putting things into your body that will make it more difficult to find out what's going on - like Proviron and deca . If you are on TRT, stay on TRT and stop playing around.
As others have suggested, it's a no-brainer to go to private med labs and get your blood work done in the interim. To put us in the position of making a diagnosis for you based on nothing is really an exercise in futility. Not thoughtful at all, IMO.

Yeah, as a long time member of this forum, not of TRT, I expected as much. For all the "why you putting such and such", and "you only have one body", I appreciate the concern, but it's only been a year since my last dr visit and lab work, and this is the first issue I've had, ever. Point of the post was, I'm quite positive others have had this problem, was hoping to hear some examples of those who have had this issue, and what the culprit was. Let's try this, I have read elsewhere that issues like this were due to high e2, shbg, and/or prolactin. I know how to help e2, but shbg and prolactin are beyond my arena of knowledge....
And the proviron was used in place of adex, and the deca in small doses for my joints, I'm friggin old man, chill, and the clinic I used prescribed it before, but they're outta state now, so I'm going this alone. Thanks again

Okay, nvm, just saw the $199 ad for the testosterone clinic, and I'm in Houston. Can anyone vouch for these guys, in terms of the pricing, is that legit? Cuz that's less than I was going to pay for bloodwork lol....also, should I stop taking test before I go in? I assume they may not want to treat me if my levels aren't low....should I mention that I've been "self medicating"?

Do you happen to have the direct phone number? Have left two messages with the automated 800 number...likely closed early on Fridays, but just in case. PM me if you like.

Ok so F Health I get that. But to stay hard and hit gym hard stop guessing. Get bloods and treat from there. High prolactin and e2 means soft pee pee. Find the cause and treat. I do bloods ev 3 months. So to me 1 year no doc is a long time. Get bloods bro and fix the issue.
