Need help with high estrogen levels
Hi everyone. Been browsing this site off and on the past year or so and decided to finally join. I've been on TRT for about two years now and finally found a doctor that understands it well. I started off with a total testosterone at 288 with the range being 348-1197. After 6 months of being on 75mg of test-c every week, my levels went up to 408 with an estradiol level of 33.5 with the range being 11.6-41.2.
The past 5 months my new doctor had me on 200mg test-c every 2 weeks. My trough level was 347 and my peak was 1242 with an estradiol level of 74 on the peak blood draw. He doesn't want to handle an estrogen blocker and wants to refer to a urologist but I'm in between jobs at the moment. I have some arimidex and wondering what you guys think. Should I do 0.25mg the day I inject and 3 days later? I just hate seeing the high estradiol levels and want to prevent the adverse effects of it. Thanks in advance.

No offence but your doc doesn't understand TRT that well if you is having on this roller coaster.
Try 50mg of test 2 x per week, that will stop the crazy peaks and troughs in your test and should resolve any E2 issues you are having.NO SOURCES GIVEN

Thanks for the reply. I thought it was odd since everyone mentions at least injecting every week if not twice a week to ensure to not have the roller coaster effect.

Uwhuskies,
I'm glad someone else said it because I don't feel I'm expert enough to make a judgment, but it also SOUNDS to me like your doctor maybe isn't a TRT specialist. I mean he isn't comfortable dealing with one of the major factors involved in TRT, estrogen levels? I know you're in between jobs and it may be hard to find another doctor, but I don't know how to resolve your statement that he understands...yet you are still posting here because you have concerns. One of those shouldn't be true.
I've read (keep in mind I'm not an expert or a doctor) older therapies, when this wasn't as well understood, would be every couple weeks. But as people started to understand it more, they moved to injections once and then twice a week as Back In Black suggests...so that the levels sustained in your body remain more level.
Anyway, good luck with your doctor and I truly hope he is good at this. But if you aren't happy with your treatment and seem to be a complete outlier from the treatment everyone else is seeming to get, you may want to investigate a new doc who is comfortable dealing with T levels, E levels, HCG , AIs, and cares about three pages worth of blood panels.
