    TRT newbie

I have finally made the decision to go on TRT. Dr is ordering androgel for me. Can I have some feedback on this?
I compete in bodybuilding and i have mossed a cycle trying to get my TRT prescription out of the way.
I will be tested in 2 months for test levels. Is there any way that I can cycle? Could I take Prop for 1month on and one month off for the 2 month bw?

    Bump
I will have an appointment with my Dr. On the results of my kidney tests. I am expecting that everything is OK. If so, i need some guidance because i cannot fall to far behind the younger ones in my weight class.

Yes you could take prop for 1 month and then 1 month off but i'm not sure you would gain enough to justify that cycle.

You should try to get test shots as trt instead of the gel.

Gels are probably the worst replacement therapy the market has currently to offer. The makers claim the skin function as a depot for "steady release" of the molecule is utter BS imo. Some men actually absorb it so fast it clears the system like it's test suspension (and it is, really) and some can even bathe in it and not get enough through.

Docs like to think of it a milder alternative to injections but this can't be further from the truth, due to higher conversion to DHT/E2 comparing to any esterified T available out there, and rather unsteady blood levels.

    It's outrageously expensive too.

Everything that I have read states that the gel is the better alternative and it closest to natural production. Obviously, i would expect this to be more accepted publicly because it doesn't have the negative connotation that injection does.
With all of this, how do I get my Dr. To change the form of application? I do not want to come straight out and say I want the injectable form without some valid argument.

Just tell him you'll be pissed to apply the gel everyday, and mostly important, that you are worried about transferring the gel to your significant others (this is an actual issue). That should do.

The type of therapy should be YOUR choice, not the doctors. When it comes to cycling, I'd suggest you get dialed in with your TRT first. You'll survive waiting a bit.

Agree with Bizz. Gels are such a marketing scam and ungodly money maker for them. For the doctor it's just an easy push to get the patient out the door with minimal interaction and work.

Thank you for all of the comments. I went back and requested another type of application for the reasons recommended Now the endocrinologist wants to see me with an appointment.
    Is this normal?
