Can somene tell me what is going on with my TRt
MY intent to get on TRT is turning into a soap opera.
I have had testosterone tested three times. It has remained fairly constant at around 169. I was prescribed androgel . Then I stated that i was concerned with the frequency of application and the transferability. My Dr. Then sent me to endocrinology (which he consulted with prior to prescription of androgel).
Now endocrinologist wants testosterone and albumin bw. Never had albumin test before. Why these tests for injection and not for androgel? They also want another consultation but this time with endrocrinologist.
My understanding is that they will want to give me the injections every two weeks. Has anybody experienced this? I do not have problems at the beginning, but once i start cycling I am concerned about them noting the other injections. I was gong to argue that it was a pain to have to travel to get the injections and I would like to accomplish it by myself with a supply greater than 2 weeks. Is there a better arguement?
I really need some guidance on this because i am getting anxious.. I have already lost time for a cycle ( i compete and I am falling behind my competition). Health comes first but I believe that health is ok from all of the bw. Actually think that I ought charge them for all of the blood samples taken. Hahaha

Im not in US, and health care is really very different here. Yes, the initial diagnostic can be difficult when doctors are not used to it, thinking that endocrinologists are used to this is a mistake, if they dont have a specialization in andrology it will be the almost the same (or worse) as GPs.
I can link you to medical guidelines for hypogonadism and the practice asks for some exams before treatment, which in my opinion should be compulsory. I needed to get a series of blood tests, ultrasounds, etc...
About the treatment, here I just get a prescription which I take to pharmacy and pick it up.Then how I apply the drug is my own business, although I can go to the health center for the injection, but it has nothing to do with the doctor who prescribed me. So dont know if I can be much help really.
My best advice would be dont go to consults with tight T-shirts, with muscles showing off, wear a non revealing shirt. And if current doctor is not helpful search for a andrologist.

Well, we'll see what transpires. I guess I will just "go with the flow and then try to convince them of changes as I go once I get a feeling of how their reactions are. Does anyone else have a similar experience that I can learn from?
Dr. Bb....ooops, I mean Mr. BB- you were spot on with the test results of the 24 hour urine. Kidneys are working fine and there was nothing abnormal from the ultrasound. I was just a little confused why they were focusing on the creatinine and not the BUN test results. Not once did the nephrologist mention the BUN.

Try seeing a Urologist. They specialize in giving testosterone . It's literally the main thing they do. My endo didn't know much about test, and she actually tried to talk me out of it. That's when I saw an Urologist who gave me test right away.

Still trying to figure out this TRT but I guess I could wait until the day before injection to get my bw.

Minimum weekly, even better every 5 days or a smaller dose twice weekly. The half life of test is really only 5 days or so and if injections are spread out to far, like yours is, it puts you on a hormonal roller coaster. Initially high then extremel low levels. It sucks for most people. Your doc is dosing you on basically the terminal life of test.
Definitely get your BW the morning of your next injection but before the actual injection.
