Doctor wants to add HCG...
I called to order my refill of test today for HRT, and the doctor is saying he wants me to take hcg for 4 weeks, every 3 months. He's charging a ton for it, and here is the kicker: it's a small pill you dissolve under the tongue. Can I just deny this, or will it send a red flag? The only reason I even buy the test from him is so I can legally have a trt prescription.

Your doc's clueless. There's no reason to ever take a break from HCG injections. When your body was producing endogenous test on it's own via LH function did it periodically take breaks? HCG mimics this function.
I would not buy into HCG sublinqual pills. First, there's no real clue how much will be absorbed. Further, if not completely absorbed under the tongue then stomach acids will render it useless, if it's effective at all. Not sure about any studies out there backing up it's effacacy.
Ask your doc for a script for HCG injections. He can make extra cash from someone else....

Gotcha. I already bought the first round of pills since he hit me with this out of nowhere, but next time I'll get the normal stuff. I'll use my own hcg for now I get from my supplier. Thanks

Now doc wants me to take clomid "because I've been on trt for 6 months now." 300mg day one, 150mg day two, 100mg day three through 30. I bought them and just left but Jesus, do I find a new doc or just stick with this one and deal with it? It's nice because he's half a mil from my house and he knows I cycle as well. He's against it obviously but he's still keeping me.

agreed on all points here for sure! well i dont think HCG needs to be non stop but it also doesnt needed to be stopped, personal preference IMO, but oral HCG? news to me (as in it even being effective) there is alot of hcg BS out there.
hcg is not needed in hrt, if your ball size is a concern then sure, but you pretty much accept shutdown when you go on hrt IMO

WTF would be the point of this? you are already on hrt means you are shutdown and accept it. he seems to think that there is some sort of use for clomid in hrt? sounds like hes wither a dummy or just greedy for a buck... now if you told him your trying to get the gf or wife preggo then sure there is soem use IMO.
my opinion, maybe try to find a new doc. or simple stand up and let him know you are not interested in clomid since you are shutdown and its pointless unless trying get preg and you are not interested in oral hcg either, just the blood tests and test shots, if he has an issue with that remind him that hes there for you, works for you and your health and thats your request, if he has an issue deff get a new doc IMO

What is the point? I don't know either man. He does some things different that's for sure, but at the end of the day money isn't an issue and I can just save it for later or toss it. It's a huge plus that he lives right by me and is literally next door to labcorp. My insurance covers blood work. I'm going to stick with him for now.

Just tell him: Thank you doc, but I prefer to remain on testosterone shots, at this moment of my life I dont need an hormonal unbalance due to ****INSERT WHATEVER LIFE REASON YOU WANT HERE*****, and I know how it feel to be with low test. Also clomid makes me feel really bad every time I take it."

Guys, I never stopped the shots. He gave me clomid even though he refilled my test subscription.

I'm on TRT from my doc but he has never mentioned any type of "pct" but I'm pretty sure it's because my test levels are LOW LOW LOW! I had some trauma to my boys and I guess they stopped working. Doctor says I'll be on TRT for the rest of my life with no chafe of coming off!!
