anastrozole causing GI upset?
Background:
Started TRT in Jan.
I was on HCG for three weeks before added Tst-c. A week later a fertility doc told me his patients do better
without the HCG, so I dropped it.
I've raised the Anastrozole to .5ED.
Problem:
GI tract-severe bloating, trapped gas, diarhea, and fatigue for about a week, around the same time as the
Anastrozole.
Complication: A friend has similar and mom said its going around near her (Mtns. of NC...USA, to
accommodate my friends from other places).
Could it be the Anastrozole

TRT with 0.5mg anastrazole per day???
Thats way too much, even with a cycle dosage you need to be a heavy aromatizer to need that.
You have probably crashed your e2. Dont your doc do bloodwork?

What Mr. BB said. There is a nasty stomach bug here in Upstate SC, but still, what Mr.BB said.
Edit: I wouldn't be surprised if you weren't aching something terrible.Last edited by almostgone; 02-26-2017 at 04:09 PM.
There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

Is there any chance your GI upset could be diet related?

No, I've eaten properly (just like my Dad) my whole life. Should cut the Anastrozole to a .5 EOD?

I can say from my personal experience, that Anastrozole gives me very bad GI issues.
I take my doses every third day, so at least I have days when I can actually leave the house lol
I'm not sure (yet) if Exemestane / Aromasin is any better for GI issues ... I'm guessing not tbh

Thanks y'all
With 200mcg Test-c, .05 or .25 EOD, or ?
My trt doc prescribed 1mg eod. I found a GP/TRT doc that I'm gonna start seeing soon.
What did with the trt guy was the 1mg eod. The thing that scared me away from my GP was when I went in today for my stomach
issue and was directed to get a colonoscopy!!! Maybe one day, but not today!Last edited by Quester; 03-01-2017 at 06:45 PM.

Once weekly? I'd say .25 the day after pin. What you take are cycle doses of AI.

I'm prescribed 200mcg e6d. I take 100mcg e3d. So, the best thing (for me, right now) would be the day after pin (basically e3d-day after pin), .25 or .5?

The story of my life right there!
I thought I cracked the code, back in 2012, with a low carb, grainless diet. However, being carb depleted long term, I think started the hormonal spiral into Celexa ... How limited is your diet nowadays?
Fixing lot T is helping, but AI's causing GI issues isn't helping. Especially as GI issues are a trigger to
panic attacks for me
Anyway, could liquid AI's be an answer here?
Wouldn't that bypass the gut, in a similar way to liquid B12 etc?

Nope it won't, unless you pin it (don't).
My diet is gluten and casein free, can't eat legumes I pass them undigested literally, tree nuts also do irritate my GI as do fructose and some alcohol sugars (sorbitol, mannitol, etc).
I don't feel limited at all as long as I can enjoy meat. Also I eat a lot of sweet potatoes.
