Blood results and my plan
Hey guys, I had no idea just how much my low T affected me until my very first shot of test cyp. The resulting jolt of energy and nearly instant motivation was shocking to me. I just wish that feeling would last all 7 days between shots but it lasts for at least 4 solid days.
So i started with Clomid and it only brought my test up a little so we switched it for 100mg test cyp per week. My first blood test and the second after taking Clomid for a few months are below. I am still awaiting my next blood test to see how the 100mg of test is working.
9/14/20
Marker Reading Reference Range
Total Testosterone 234 300 - 836 ng/dl
Free Testosterone 8 10 - 20 ng/dl
Free Testosterone (%) 3.42 1 - 3 %
Sex Hormone-Binding Globulin (SHBG) 7.2 16.5 - 55.9 nmol/L
Albumin 3.8 4.1 - 5 g/dl
Luteinizing Hormone (LH) 5.3 1.24 - 7.8 IU/L
Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT) 65 7 - 56 IU/L
Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST) 52 5 - 40 IU/L
Estradiol 31.6 7.6 - 42.6 pg/ml
12/7/20
Marker Reading Reference Range
Total Testosterone 397 300 - 836 ng/dl
Free Testosterone 12 3 - 20 ng/dl
Sex Hormone-Binding Globulin (SHBG) 13 16.5 - 55.9 nmol/L
Albumin 4 3.5 - 5.7 g/dl
Luteinizing Hormone (LH) 2.06 1.24 - 8.62 IU/L
Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST) 71 13 - 39 IU/L
Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT) 57 7 - 52 IU/L
I felt zero affects from taking clomid so I am glad they switched me.
I have taken a few cycles of SARMS and will be joining the dark side soon lol. My lipids actually improved on SARMS and were within proper levels for the first time since i started taking blood tests in my early 20's. Even with meds my LDL's and triglycerides are still always slightly high. So hopefully doing a cycle of test cyp wont affect them too much. I am excited to learn more here and happy to be amongst good company.Last edited by kelkel; 02-07-2021 at 09:14 PM. Reason: fixed date for you

That second date was supposed to be 12/7/20 not 9/7.
Do you guys feel an instant pickup in energy when taking your HRT dose of test and does it also taper off during the week?

Hey Nice guy. You have it right. The first one on top is natty and the second one I had been on Clomid for about three months. Its weird that my LH went down...why do you think that would happen?
My Dr said nothing about primary or secondary lol. The way he put it was that I was still young and should be able to still produce my own test, hence why we tried clomid. So it appears I just wasted that three months.
Thanks for the info on doing two separate injections. I will have to give that a go.

Amen to that lol!
Right now I am doing subq injections. In a few months from now I plan to blast my first test cyp cycle and I should be able to tell then how I react to IM injections.
Once I get my numbers dialed in I will give the two shots a week a go. Right now I take my one shot on Monday and by Sunday I can really feel the difference. Its massive.
I would be interested in knowing when you change from Clomid to test shots if it makes you feel any better or worse. I felt absolutely nothing on Clomid but you can see that from my numbers above.
If I'm being honest, I am actually quite glad I am on a weekly test shot because it completely eliminates the need for PCT. Which reminds me of a question I had. If you are blasting and cruising, how long do you wait between cycles? I know the basic formula if you are doing PCT but not for cruising.

No shit...I've read about some cruisers here that totally looks more like a cycle!
As for the way you feel with just Clomid, the only thing I can say is within one minute of my first test cyp shot I felt better than I have in years. I seriously look forward to Mondays now lol. The difference in my energy levels are insane and now I am three weeks in, my libido is starting to come up as well which is awesome! I had no idea just how much low T was affecting me. I knew it was, but wouldnt have dreamed it was by this much.
Thanks for the advise on the rest period. I plan to start a new thread when I begin this journey and I am sure folks like you will chime in and help along the way. I plan to do it by the book with all the blood tests and such. Anyway, thanks again and I'm sure ill see you around.

Great advice by cylon!
Tootall I'd seriously hold off on cycling for a while and get your TRT protocol dialed in. You really need to get several sets of blood work to figure out where you need to be plus most doctors will be wanting BW more frequently initially. Later it normally drops to 1 or 2 times per year which gives you much more leeway.
Also, not sure of your age but I believe you mentioned that you're young. You should definitely be on HCG which can throw another small curve into blood work that needs dialing in.Last edited by kelkel; 02-08-2021 at 03:30 PM.

Kel, I am 39 and my wife has made it abundantly clear that there will be no more kids lol. So I don't plan to do a PCT and will just cruise instead on whatever dosage of test my doc has me on for TRT. As for when I will do the cycle, my Dr made it sound like the next time we meet if everything checks out then we wont have to do anymore blood tests for a while. But you are right, I wont cycle until its dialed in, whether thats this next or the time after. I appreciate everyone's advise here!

Understood. But know that HCG has many other benefits. Visually it helps prevent atrophy but it also helps with downstream hormone cascade. Should be some info in the stickies as well.

Thats interesting kelkel. Sounds like something I would like to have. I like the idea of keeping my natural processes as natural as possible. I will mention this to my TRT Dr. the next time we speak. But, what if he is in the camp of Dr's that think its pointless? Go with a different Dr?

Tell him you want to remain fertile and he'll perk up I'd bet. Read this, give him a copy. 250 IU's twice a week, same day as your T shots is all you need. Small little insulin pin into belly fat.

I hope he does include hCg in your TRT regiment. Definitely check the prices of the prescription. I've found most prescriptions of hCg are more expensive than pharma grade hCg you can get from sources outside the US sadly.
