Any ectomorphs on TRT?
Was just approved for TRT 200mg test c a week. I'm a hard core ectomorph in my late 30s, if I get a little stressed I can easily drop 10lbs in a month without even thinking twice about it, if I try to gain weight it could take me a year to get it back.
Wondering if there are any other hard gainers out there who went on TRT and what type of physical changes you saw? I've been skinny my whole life minus the couple times I did cycles in my 20s. It does take a mental toll, just like how obese people battle with self image issues.
Currently 5'11" between 155-160lbs normally closer to 165-170 but 2022 has been stressful so far which caused a weight drop.
Curious what I can expect at 200mg a week (I've done 500mg a week 10 years ago with amazing results)

I reckon a few people here will rip into me for saying this but I'll say it anyway:
If I wasn't an ectomorph, my diet and training would have me huge by now. There's only so big I can get even when I eat properly and lift 4 days a week. I have a decent athletic frame now but I'm not 'big'.
If I made the choice to blast and cruise for the rest of my life then I'd really be going places. I don't like the idea of needles for the rest of my life though. I know some diabetics inject insulin daily (or a few times daily) and so it's not the end of the world, but I bet those diabetics would quickly give up the needle if they could swallow a pill instead. (Also of course, going into muscle is a bigger job than tummy fat).

The physical gain is a bonus. The symptoms of low testosterone mirror that of depression. I’m sure plenty of depressed people would happily do 1-2 injections a week to feel genuinely happy. People load up on antidepressants turning themselves into houseplants. The trade offs are worth it imo

It all depends, I've read plenty that for ectomorphs you'll see more gains on just 3 workouts a week doing total body workouts each time maybe with slight variations. But basically just focus on those big lifts M-W-F doing deadlifts, squat, bench, rows, presses. You're literally doing that 3 days a week because ectomorphs (especially if on cycle) can heal fast, so it's less recovery in between is needed.
I've never done it that way, but I might give it a go, why not.

I’m similar hight as you and weight if I’m not crushing food and in the gym regularly.
In my case 3 days a week lifting is plenty.
Been training regularly for 20+ years now. No where near at the rate the boys on this forum do.
Ive been trt for 4 years @ 120mgs every 9 days or 40mg e3days. Never blasted . My weight fluxes between 172-178lbs . I’m more into functional strength than bodybuilding so my training has always included more cardio.
I cycle and swim 3days a week and spend 2 days a week lifting.
I’d imagine if I was only lifting to bulk I would be 180+ with out blasting. Your gonna need to eat a lot regardless to put on size .
Good thing about ecto is you can pretty much eat anything you want and not have to worry about getting fat and as long as your training, you’ll always be vascular and shredded .Last edited by Painjunky; 03-20-2022 at 05:50 PM.
