Why is TRT right for me?

I’m 32 in the middle of my first cycle. Everything is going great, strength and size increasing nicely and mid cycle bloods seem to be where they should be.

From a few of my other posts I have been suggested that TRT would be a great possibility for me due to what my pre cycle bloods showed. What confuses me is why that is. I’ll attach my pre cycle bloodwork so you can see.

I just don’t understand if my normal test is so good/high as to why I would lower it through exogenous test between cycles.

The biggest thing I need to mention is that I am 100% infertile (never gonna happen) after chemotherapy as a teenager. I have my sperm saved up on liquid nitrogen so fertility isn’t a concern for me. Due to my Infertility, my fsh and LH are bonkers high.

Is it because my balls are effectively pointless at this point other than a source of test so that’s why it’s been suggested to go on TRT? Just looking for insight before I make my decision. I have no aversion to TRT just would want to know why it is the best fit for me.Click image for larger version.

If your total t was 919 pre cycle, your balls are doing their job. I think it was suggested that trt might tamp down your current production... I can't imagine it would be healthy in the long term to have lh and fsh that high. But man, to be honest, this is definitely well above my pay grade and probably something to talk with a specialist about.

I would be interested in seeing your mid cycle blood work tho.

Okay that makes sense. That’s what I figured the reason would be but wanted clarification. I recently retired but once I get insurance again I’ll head to an endocrinologist and more specifically an oncological endocrinologist. I agree with the fsh and LH. I’ve had those levels presumably for over a decade.

Mid cycle bloods are attached to look at.Click image for larger version.

I didn't see lh or fsh on the mid cycle blood work. Did I miss it? That's the one we want to see.

Not part of the panel I ordered as I assumed they would be tanked from the test.I am taking hcg though.

But that’s my fault and you’re right. I’m gonna get the blood work next week and update you on the levels.

    Thank you

    Wait im confused.
Wouldnt chemo kill both Sertoli and leydig cells?
    What chemo med was it?
This is interesting to say the least.
Guess you got lucky that your balls still produce test!!
Make sure to get blood work after to see where you sit at

I am not sure the exact mechanism as to why I no longer produce sperm but with the chemotherapy regimen I received, 99% of men are infertile following treatment. I received BEACOPP (in addition to 24 rounds of radiation). The culprit in particular for the infertifility (and a greater number of toxic side effects both short and long term) is The “C,” cyclophosphamide. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3208688/ . This actually touches on permanent elevation of fsh and LH in addition to infertility.

What I gather is there is a negative feedback loop between pituitary and testes. Hypothalamus signals pituitary to produce LH and FSH. Balls kick in and produce test but are now incapable of producing LH and FSH. Brain recipes the info that no sperm is getting produced so signals pituitary to release more LH and FSH.
