10 years on TRT ….is my dose safe now? Test results.

Started at 50 and am now 60. Over the last few years I really havnt been feeling great. Not feeling ill, but not super motivated, workouts boring ect.

Bumped my dose from 65mg a week to 80mg (the 0.4 on the syringe) twice a week for about 4 months now.

I’m feeling much more motivated and better but is this harmful to my body?

I do see I need to donate blood soon.

    Thanks

Your bloodwork actually looks great with 2 exceptions in my opinion

Estrogen - I would look into Exemestane if it were me to cut your estrogen in half. 6.25mg with injection should do it ( they come in 25mg pills
So I cut one in half and then cut again into 1/4). I’m on your exact dose and that keeps me below 45. You seems to be lucky my totoal test usually tops out at 950 on 80mg 2x a week.

Hematocrit - Because your test levels are so high on that dose I would lower slightly to get this below 50. Your level isn’t dangerously high but this seems to be the number one risk for TRT so I’d rather be safe then sorry. Even if your test level drops between 900-1000 that’s very high .

Also your test does isn’t soley responsible for how you feel. Maybe look at other contributing factors

When did you do the blood draw relative to your last injection? If these numbers are at peak, maybe leave things as they are dosage wise. If at trough, bring it down to 70mg 2x per week.

Are you having any high estrogen negative sides? If not, leave everything alone.

As has been noted, you should donate blood.

Are you on anything else, like hcg ?

0.4 injected on Wednesday night and bloodwork done on Friday. I don’t think I’m having high E sides
affects. What would I be experiencing if I did?

No HCG because Kaiser won’t prescribe it and worried about using Chinese or Indian HCG because there is no way of knowing if it’s legit. I don’t want to inject unknown substances. Kaiser wanted to give me Clomid but I’ve read there’s bad sides with that. I’ve only experienced minimal testicular atrophy if any.

    Thanks for all your input.

You can test your HCG with a pregnancy test. It won't necessarily tell you if it's contaminated, but it will let you know if the contents are actual HCG.
Personally, I've used about every HCG there is. Script, Chinese, Indian, and they all were effective.

Just curious why you think this is harmful to the body? The dose? Your age?

Exactly. Age and being over the normal range. I also take high blood pressure meds (losartan) but started that well before TRT. At this point I’ll probably leave things alone since my weight, workouts, and energy seem to be in a good place.
