TRT question?
whats up guys its been a min. so im in a trt program in Columbus ohio. It’s more of a health and wellness facility.
They have a gym and spa, dietitians, counselors, and I believe they even do some rehab work in the back for drug addicts. It’s like a one stop shop.
The problem is the doctor is a psychiatrist and I don’t think he knows what he’s doing sometimes.
he ran bloodwork on me and I don’t even see estrogen listed on the blood work. The guy has me taking 50 mg of Clomid daily, 1/2 mg of anastrozole every other day, with 200 mg of cypionate weekly.
I can’t get an erection, I have absolutely no sex drive and my ankles are killing me. Somethings not right.Last edited by Josh577; 06-05-2023 at 02:55 PM.

I assume the labs is results while you're on the current trt dose? Total and free are high range. That's a pretty high trt dose of test a week for most ppl I think
Why did you go in trt? What were your levels before? How old are you?
And not sure about taking clomid. Seems counterproductive. And you shouldn't be taking an ai unless you're getting sides from the test.

He's working for you. Ask him to draw a sensitive E2 panel. If he asks why, tell him you want to justify that large of a dosage of anastrozole. I'm guessing your E2 is low, but you need the panel to verify.
Don't think the Clomid is necessary. Ask for HCG or gonadorelin acetate.
Don't see the need for FSH and LH.
Keep a close on on the A1C. Personally, I would snag a glucometer and test strips and be monitoring my serum glucose first thing after I woke up. You're borderline prediabetic.
Edit:. Take a week off from lifting before you're next labs and see if your liver enzymes drop back down and stay well hydrated.Last edited by almostgone; 06-04-2023 at 06:01 PM.

TRT dose is in line, a lower dose (150 mg) would likely suffice, you may want to reduce your dose.
Not sure why the clomid, have you asked him why he RX'ing it?
Your adex dose is almost quadruple what is a suggested dose dose for most guys; .5 mg 2x/week is usually sufficient. On a TRT dose you can likely even reduce the adex further.
This seems like ....ONCE AGAIN...yet another doctor over medicating a patient so he can improve his paycheck.

i am 40 years old, i had been on ugl test for years, maybe 6 years. my initial bloodwork at the TRT clinic my test was high, like 1700 or something.
I’m ashamed to say as many years as I have messed with gear, i have never paid any attention to blood work, which is stupid.
i decided to go to a TRT program, so I was not buying off the streets anymore.
i told The Man I feel like my testicles work anymore, I told him I didn’t feel like I do not produce sperm anymore, and I would like to have some hCG or something to help me and he prescribed Clomid.
The bloodwork is before I started the Clomid I will have a new blood work this month

he put me on metForman. i need to get my body weight down, im 380.
The liver enzymes scare me pretty bad. I’m a union pipefitter, I work at a nuclear facility that draws blood for a full work up on me every year and my doctor also does the same.
somehow, through all the STD test ive taken over the years and all the blood work I’ve taken the doctors completely missed the fact that I had syphilis!
The TRT doctor found it. they think I may have had this close to 10 years. The only reason I’m telling you this is I’m hoping that’s the reason my liver enzymes are where they are.
I just finished around with penicillin and I took this blood test.
Every doctor told me they don’t test for syphilis anymore because it’s so rare, I felt like saying, is it rare or you guys are just not fkn testing for it?

thank you I didn’t know any of that. All the research I’ve ever done for gear was from when I was running huge cycles when I was younger but as far as TRT I’ve never really researched it.

Not gonna lie, that was one of the first things I noticed. Penicillin is the thing for it, though, so should be good.
Some docs prescribe clomid because of a faux hcg shortage. I don't think it works, but it does seem to happen a bit more over the past couple of years.

Re: in bold above. That's when gonadorelin popped on the scene. Personally, I've not tried it. I'll stick with HCG as long as I can source it.

Depending on dosage and duration, some antibiotics can raise liver enzymes. I had bacteremia around '06 and '07 and was on IV nafcillin and I believe the other was vancomycin. Anyway they weekly monitored blood chemistry including liver enzymes for the whole 12 weeks I had the IV pump, plus another 6 weeks.
Edit: Higher bf% can cause higher levels of T to E aromatization, but there's no " sliding scale" for dosage. He should be testing E2 to monitor and adjust as needed. If your E2 is tanked, your joints can give you a lot of pain.Last edited by almostgone; 06-04-2023 at 10:27 PM.

Guys are on point above. Couple things:
Your clomid dose at 50 daily is wrong. Normal would be 50 eod or 25 daily as a form of TRT.
Clomid is ridiculous as an adjunct to TRT. Verified by your LH and FSH. If it did work when on testosterone there'd never be a need for PCT. Ever.
Pick a form of TRT. Clomid or Test. Hint - choose test.
Very normal to have elevated liver enzymes if you are working out. Many studies on it. Like AG said above, take a week off prior to BW if really concerned. Take NAC as well. Google it.
Scorpion on point with reducing your dose to 150 pw. Also split it to 75 x 2 to reduce the e2 spike.
Also, edit your post and redact your personal info from the BW.
You'll be fine.Last edited by kelkel; 06-05-2023 at 12:41 PM.
