Sid Effects of HCG

Hi,

I have been on TRT for roughly 15 years now. I have been reading how HCG is good for TRT patients, so I ordered some from a clinic. I ordered blood tests for myself recently and found that HCG caused the following side effects for me:

• SHBG is high -54 H (10-50 nmol/L)
• Total Testosterone shot up to almost high levels - 1011 (250-1100)
• Free Testosterone dropped - 99.3 (46.0 - 224.0)
• Pregnenolone levels dropped from previous levels but still in normal range.
• DHEA levels dropped from previous levels but still in normal range.

Has anyone else experienced this while supplementing with HCG? I am wondering if I should discontinue the HCG.

My SHBG runs a little high, it makes me winder if HCG is the culprit. I have bloodwork in a few days for the first time without it, let's see what we see.

What are your doses of testosterone and hcg?

Prescription for HCH is 6,000 IU and I inject .25 ml twice a week. Testosterone prescription is .5 twice a week from a 200 ml bottle.

.25ml doesn't tell us anything on the hcg . The dose will be measured in IU.

Do you mean your test is 200mg/ml? The pharmacy doesn't generally dispense 200ml:at a time.

I have had free testosterone levels , total test, estradiol, shbg all fluctuate from time to time while my hcg protocol stayed the same, I personally like the benefits of hcg at the same doses you take, my test is 250 mg about every 8 days and just a spec of arimidex at 12.5 mg weekly and I feel pretty good most of the time and that’s what I’d gauge it on as far as how good you feel, it took me a while to get everything dialed in but it was worth the wait

DHEA should be down, or generally a non-factor when on synthetic hormones long term (uncertain about other neurosteroids, interesting questions few know answers)

Probably, but assuming is a bad way to Bad Advices. We all did our time learning the lingo.

To be clear I meant is a question to the Op but it looks like he moved on. It is hard to explain to people with hcg dosing that whatever is in the vial is what is in the vial. They determine the dose by how much back water the add to the vial.

Omg I have one!!!! It’s literally one cc. When I picked up my script they gave me 10 1 ml vials if 200 mg/ml test cyp

LOL, OP said his vial was 200 ml. That would be 200 of the 1 ml vials. They generally won't script out more than 10 ml at a time .
