Starting to see changes in my body (pic inside)
Did this online contest which just ended but I can really see changes in my back since starting TRT.
Happy with my results although didn't drop as much fat as I wanted I still dropped 5" off the waist and added a ton of strength! Lost around 20 lbs. 227 to sub 210.
Bench went from 155x5 @start of TRT to 225x6 this past week.
Squats up from 185 @start to 275.
No dips to 15 dips x BW.
Now to drop the remaining 30lbs!
Before is Feb 2012 to today May 2012. (approx 4 months)

Thanks all. This month starting cut mode hard core! Want to drop 15 lbs by the end of June. Will post up more progress pics if I hit my goal of < 195.
@kelkel, hahah ya wife was laughing at me and told me to put on sunscreen. I was being foolish, didnt think I would get much sun.
This month I am going to take a break from heavy lifting and focus on med weight, high reps (10+ reps). Bunch of cardio and melt the fat off!
New lifting goal, 10 wide grip pullups x BW. Might take 2+ months to reach that goal. When I see someone in the gym cranking out unassisted WG pullups, you know they are strong.
@600 ya things getting better. Going to make appt with ENT this week to see if I can get my sleep apnea in check. I think that might be causing my RBC to be elevated and doesnt help with rest.

You are a true inspiration!

I am starting full CUT mode now. The first 4 months my focus was on building a decent base and adding as much strength as possible so I would have something to cut down to and avoid the dreaded skinny fat look.
Hoping to end my cut in 3 months and drop 30 lbs of fat. My routine will be more med/hi reps to let my joints recover and catch up. I added a ton of strength and my joints couldnt keep up.
@ren, my diet wasnt that great, I just tried to keep my cals around 2k a day and hit 150+g protein a day. I limited alcohol to around 5 binges during this period (mostly social events).
Routine was starting strength with a few ancillary exercises thrown in like dips and curls.
Ill post up new pics in a month after starting cut mode, I had like 8 lbs of water in that pic above so I am actually leaner than above.

Good job, but remember there is a point when the scale is your enemy.....throw that thing away and use the mirror and pictures to measure your success.

Is it fairly easy to lose fat when just starting on TRT, i.e., one can get away with being less strict?
For what it`s worth, I eat fairly clean already, but I`m curious about this.
Good luck on your further progress, GFA!

Good question but I wouldnt be able to tell you. I started working out and making better food choices when starting TRT. Not a hard core diet by any means and usually a cheat or two during the week. My goal for the first part of this year was to add strength and build a base and not watch my cals/macros so much.
A good video I watched was "I want to look like that guy" which was a documentary of an overweight guy that wanted to compete in a bodybuilding competition. He spent a few months working out then several months cutting. His results were amazing. He had a professional bodybuilder guide him and give him step by step instructions on what to do. Google the video and you can find it online.
Anyways I think everyone will agree diet is 99% of the equation when trying to get lean and you cant out train a poor diet unless you are Michael Phelps training for the olympics
For me TRT isnt a miracle fat loss, muscle building drug but it helps level the playing field (does not apply to steroid cycles obviously). I would workout and diet in the past with mediocre results, now I am making decent gains in both strength and body composition, something I could never do in the past.
I could never bench 225 in the past. Now I eat it for breakfast!

Great job bro - just don't lose the drive after you reach your goal (which means always have new goals for yourself).
