    Glargine?

    My friend is a diabetic and he gave me a 100 i.u.'s of insulin glargine(rDNA).It also says Lantus on it and is manufactured by Aventis Pharmaceuticals in Germany. I can not determine what exact kind of slin this is. Any additional info would help greatly.

    Never heard of it. Make sure you know the activity period before you use it. The best is humalog shot IM, it has an activity of 2-2.5hrs.
