    hypo today

    Today I did my first 10iu shot. I worked my way up to 10 with no problems. I went hypo by trying to go 7 gram per iu instead of 10. I started going hypo about 1 hr later while eatting my pwo meal. I finely had to drink a regular coke. I felt really tired and like I was going to puke. Next time I will go with 100 grams of dextrose and play it safe. Hypo is no fun.

    try 8 grams next time.

    so yoy inject the slin and than a hour later you have your post workout meal I would be in the hospital after an hour

    1.5 hour I was eatting it. I started 1 hr later but I was finishing at 1.5 hrs and starting feeling hypo.

    Didnt you take in a PWO shake right immediately after you injected? At that point I use 4g dextrose/IU slin. Then about 45 min later I eat a full meal.

    Vic, next time take 10g of Malt/Dex per 1iu of Slin. I know others are recommending less but some arent able to tolerate less carbs then that. I'm a great candidate for that one.

    I also saw in your other thread that you're taking Humulin-R. That right there might be your first mistake even before this one. I've always recommended Log over R due to a better understadning on Peak, onset and active times in the body. Many will have more sides with the longer lasting Slins then say some of the shorter ones..

    Just up your carbs, that's what it's all about. And no, hypo isn't a good feeling at all. Jay good call, LOG over R any day.

    The only reason I got R was that its otc. I up'ed the carbs today and I felt fine. That much dextrose is close to making me puke after a hard day of deadlifts. Eatting 1 hr later was even harder.
