    What is a good brand and model of a glucose meter?

    Not that big of a deal, I picked up a pretty cheap one years ago that still works great now.

    I decided to go with the freestyle flash, they had them on sale from 74.99 to 9.99 at walgreens.

    It does matter. If its old its not that accurate.

    Sometimes the more expensive ones just have more features. But i wouldn't buy the cheapest one out there.

    I use Ascensia CONTOUR, made by Bayer. I am very pleased with it. Very simple to use.
