Hygetropin... reconstituting/dosing??
I have hygetropin 8iu vials....
1) what is the ideal amount of BA to reconstitute with?
2) I have 29g u-100/1cc needle, how do I measure the IU's drawn?

1) It's simple arithmetic . . .
If you mix 8 cc's of water with your product, then if you want 1 IU of product, then you draw out 1/8th of what's in the bottle, or 1 cc of liquid.
If you want a higher concentration of product (and who doesn't?), then mix 8/10th (.8) cc of water with your stuff, and then every 1/10th cc (.1 cc) will have 1 IU of product.
2) Use one of your needles to measure the water used to mix with the hygetropin (and you want sterile water, not BA). Your 1cc syringe should have marks ranging from 1 to 10 or 10 to 100. Fill it up to the line with the #8 (or #80), and that should be 8/10ths of a cc. Mix it with the product (carefully! let it gently slide down the side of the vial, and then mix by gently rotating the vial until everything is dissolved). Then, when you withdraw the liquid, 1/10th of the syringe will have 1 IU of product. Take everything out of the vial into the syringe, you'll have all 8 IU's in the syringe.
Simple math, that's all it is . . .

1) Not BA, use BW. 0.8mL of BW is easiest.
2) 0.8mL of BW = 1iu per 10 mark on u100 pin

u can use sterile water if you're injecting the entire 8i.u. immediately after reconstitution, if not then follow what plzr8 said...he's on the $$
