It must say what type it is on the bottle. If it's R, it will say Humalin-R, if it's N it will say It's Humalin N, it must be displayed. The 70/30 mix is also a long acting insulin I believe. It just says Humalin 70/30. As for the orange tops, most of them have orange tops. The Humalog can come in dark red top, but I know the N, R and L all have orange tops (unless it has been changed). Thers is also a Humalin U as well just FYI.
The Humalog is clear that's right, it looks like water in a vial. As for the clody insulin, if it's cloudy then you want to stay away from it. Cloudy types of insulin are the very long acting insulins, the type that diabetics take before bed, so you don't want to take that kind. These kind of insulin can have an active life time of 12hrs.
Contact your source and ask them what they've sent you.

I would still contact both of the sources and just ask what type of insulin they sent you, nothing wrong with that.
