MOD's n VET's, important question on HGH n it's effect on a particular disease.
this is probably something we'd have to ask a doc, but i was hoping someone here may be able to answer it. here goes...
my wife is considering using 1iu/day of HGH (very long story). now, my only issue is that about a year ago, she was diagnosed with barrett's esophagus. now, though barretts isn't cancer, the cells that it's made of are ones that later down the road can potentially become cancerous. not gonna get into all the details about it as a web search can provide plenty of info for those not familiar with it.
so anyway, i know that HGH can cause an accelerated growth of cancer cells, so i'm wondering if there would be any concern for it causing some kind of acceleration of the barretts turning into cancerous cells? as far as how long she'd be planning on using the HGH, it would only be for several months, so it's not something she's considering as a lifelong thing. however, i want to make sure she's not going to risk her health in the process. if any of you or someone you know on here might be able to help provide a definitive answer, i'd greatly appreciate it, as i won't let her even think about taking it until i'm sure there's no risk.

With the possible risks here I'd definietly ask a Doc buddy. You're right that HGH can accelerate the growth of Cancer cells so if it were me I'd definitely stay away.
I'd still look for some input from a doctor though Ascendan..

I did a little bit of research and came to find that
They do give people who have undergone cancer treatment HGH. Those who receive it though, have a deficiency(SP?).
HGH can cause and excellerated growth in cancer cells & tumors that are not detected.
I am sure with her current diagnosis that she must do regular check ups for her Barrett's esophagus, to make sure none of the lesions become cancerous.
I really dont know to be honest with you. I am not an educated doctor, so what I say it purely through search engine and opinion.
I would definitely seak a medical professional's advice.abstrack@protonmail.com

She should not touch hgh with a bargepole. anything to do with cancer or risk of cancer is 100% no. you dont need to see a doctor about this.

I think I'm gonna have to agree with Jay on this one. Whatever she has can turn into something worse, and HGH will only have the potential of accelerating that, not worth the risk IMO.

It's really a tough call ... and one that would best be made by a open-minded, forward thinking doctor familiar with her particular case.
With the type of condition you are speaking about, HGH wouldn't necessarily cause her any grief, and in fact may assist her in managing the condition. On the other hand as mentioned, if you have the presence of cancerous cells, then elevating her growth factor levels with use of HGH would be a bad thing.
I would find a doctor willing to discuss (and knowledgeable of course) in the use of HGH, and have a frank discussion with them about her use of low-dose HGH. He can take a look at her medical chart and history and then give you some things to consider. As I already mentioned, HGH may help ... or hurt, it is really difficult to say without access to her medical records. Best of luck.

I'd stay away from it. Some HRT clinics are now reccomending tests to see if there's any potential (genetic or otherwise) for contraindications from precancerous conditions like you're describing before they prescribe hGH.
