    IGF-1 and Cancer

I seem to keep reading that using IGF-1 can cause increased growing rate of existing tumors, and cancer.
    How serious is this?
Now, I come from a family with a cancer history, my grandfather and brother. Is this something I wana mess with?

well, some chemotherapy meds work by BLOCKING growth factors, im not sure if its that specific one, but it does make sense that IGF\HGH and others will accelerate growth of cancer cells, if u have the cancer gene in you.

Yes IGF1 can accelerate any existing cancerous cells. Get yourself checked out by a doc before starting.
