    Insulin is this normal

Im using humalog insulin and im starting to wonder if im insulin resistant.....Im shooting 20 iu in the morning and im only eating 80-90 g of slow gi carbs (brown rice, brown pasta of oatmeal) 15-25 min after shot with some protein(chicken ,egg white)and i feel fine and then i eat some protein 1 hour later with some vegtables and everything is ok.....................i also use 20 iu pwo with gatorade (100 g) and isolate protein and eat a slow gi and protein meal 1h30 after pwo shot.......the thing is everybody saying use 7-10 g of carbs per 1iu but im actually using 4-5 is this called insulin resistant
    im 6ft1 230 10 % bodyfat

everyone's diffrent but 20iu is a fair wack.

i was doing 10iu and 70g of carbs was about right for me.

i dunno if you think you might have type 2 diabetes you might want to get yourself to the docs and get checked out.

hopefully gear or someone could shed somemore light

or he could just have a low slin sensitivity. I do not recommend you go higher just to feal the effects. You need to take b vitamins to increase sensitivity

This is quite normal and it happens to many users. You don't need to feel hypo for insulin work.

if i would shoot 20ius i would also consume about 80g of carbs afterwards. i take in 4g per iu as do alot of people so thats nothing out of the norm. now 20ius is alot of insulin for anyone especially someone with min. experiance and i wouldnt recomend you going higher then 10. what size syringe are you using?1/2cc or 1cc? what number do you bring it up to for 10ius?

    Ditto.

Though I do wonder about this specific user.

jf24...the current bodyfat percentage you listed, is that an estimate or was it taken w/ calipers?

How lean were you when you started insulin ?

How many times have you used it in the past?

How long have you used it in the past? (i.e. duration of use)

What dose did you start at on this cycle... and how long ago was that?

ive used insulin only once in the past for 6 week on and 3 weeks off during pct at 10 iu pwo only.............
i started two weeks ago at 15iu in the morning and 15 iu pwo and now im at 20 morning 20 pwo.
before starting i was about 3-5 pounds lighter with same bodyfat
PT i use 1/2 cc syringue and for 20iu i bring insulin to 20

important to mention that i have been feeling hypo a couple of times 2h after injection(took 30 g of carbs from gatorade as soon has i feel it)

Glucophage is a great tool... but not something which i'd suggest being the central therapy. (although some use it for such...there's nothing wrong with that, I just prefer a more holistic approach)

I prefer its use as complimentary therapy.

i.e. carb depletion, w/ an increase in fiber and cardio (+supplementary substrates) for 3-8 weeks... followed by the gradual reintroduction of carbs + glucophage.
