Can't find thread on slin and PWO meal schedule
First, let me say I've been on MANY forums and I definitely know how to use the SEARCH function before posting a new thread
With that being said, I was on here about 2 weeks ago and there was a REALLY good thread on the PWO meal routine that you would use immediately following your workout and Humalog (slin) injection. Now that I have my Humalog sitting pretty in my fridge, I can't find that darn thread. I wish someone would have made it a STICKY so it stays at the top. Can someone direct me to that thread? Also, there was a thread on how to slowly increase the slin every 3 days to find your tolerance. I wish I could find that thread too.
Anyhow, I'm 38yrs old, been "using" since I was 20, I'm 5'8, only 185lbs but shredded from doing Sus250, tren , equipoise , and GH. This will be my FIRST time using Slin so I need to get the EXACT schedule/routine for the post-injection diet/food so I can throw in the Humalog and not keel over.
Thanks guys.

Here is a snippet from the "threads everyone should read" section that should get you started.
Immediately after Humalog injection – do the following
• Injection + 5 minutes – drink shake with 10g glutamine / 10g creatine / 55g dextrose (7 grams per IU of Insulin )
• Injection + 15 minutes – drink shake with 80g of whey isolate protein in water (or combine this with the above glutamine/creatine/detrose drink above)
• Injection + 60 – 75 minutes – eat a protein / carb meal with 40-50g of protein, 40-50g of carbs, NO FATS (you may wish to add another whey isolate protein drink with this meal)
Avoid fats for 2-3 hours for Humalog IM, 3-4 hours for Humalog subQ, 4-5 hours for Humulin-R.
keep some glucose tablets or other simple carbs on hand (Orange Juice, Full sugar Coke, etc.) for the active window of your insulin. Hypo symptoms can and will hit hard and fast and you will have little time to react. This is the main danger of insulin use. Be ready.

Thanks RedBarron. T-Mos helped me quite a bit as well. He explained the 3rd meal (which is the 2nd solid-food meal) is not as critical as the first two, it really depends on you, your body, and how you feel. Today is my 2nd day on Humalog. I think my abdominal fat is already increasing though Oh yeah, quick question since we're here. This is my first time with Humalog and I'm obviously nervous and very careful with the stuff. Do you think I should stick with subQ? Or should I go IM? SubQ seems a little safer because if I go IM, it seems like the chances of it getting in the blood too fast are greater and could cause a problem. Please advise, thanks bro.

Until you get really comfortable with your Humalog, you may want to continue to run it subQ. That will slow it up just a little bit. Once you have the routine down, then IM will get it in and out of your system a little sooner so you can get on with your normal eating schedule.
If you are packing on some fat, then you may want to adjust the nutrients a little bit at a time to dial them in for your specific body type/metabolism. It takes a little fiddling to get it just right for you.
Best of luck.
