I have been on HGH for 6 weeks now, I have notice 2 things---

Pretty standard sides, how much are you taking? You might want to back off a bit until they go away. Then increase slowly.

I had similar sides on gh. My headaches were caused by the fluctuations in blood sugar that the gh altered. Get some bllod work done. See if your blood sugar, thyroid etc are normal. Also get you blood pressure checked.

go buy a glucometer at a drug store. if you're a cheap azz then you can go to one and say you have a history of diabetes in the family and want to know if they could check yours cause you cant afford to go to the doctor.

What's your blood pressure at?
Gh will increase your blood pressure for a while, eventually it will lower it.
The numb hands and BP increase are from fluid retention. Try backing off to 1.5iu's/day for a couple of weeks and see how it helps.

yeah, supposed to be between 80-120. when you get these headaches take it then so we can rule out hypo-hyperglycemia. its no big deal being at 74. check it again in an hour without eating to see if its gonna fall any lower cause then u have a problem. then take it an hour after eating and let us know the results.

HGH works for me...
I doubt that HGH is affecting your blood pressure, particularly not causing it to be high. If you are worried I'd recommend stopping your HGH and rechecking your BP.
I have heard that HGH can negatively affect your blood glucose levels and mine have been high. However, after taking HGH almost every day for about a year now, my blood glucose levels are much lower, primarily due to dietary changes and the fact that I have lost unnecessary weight and am in overall better health. I attribute my better overall health to the changes I have made in eating habits, better/more exercise, etc.
Based on what you've written, your blood pressure is high and you should be concerned. Getting a handle on the blood pressure issue would be a number one priority for me, if I were in your shoes.Last edited by JimInAK; 07-24-2009 at 11:53 PM. Reason: corrected misspelling

yeah with fluid retention. more fluid in your cardiovascular system puts a strain on the whole thing. try some natural diuretics and watch your sodium intake. reducing sodium alone can drop your BP and drop a couple lbs in a couple days. so watch your diet and say away from the stems. are you taking T3 or T4 and at what dose. my question and return button doesnt work cause i spilled a half cup of milk in my keyboard today.

Jim-GH does cause some to retain water when first starting GH and raise BP. after a while the body compensates and drops the water then the BP goes down.

I started with 2 iu and had the same problems. I went to 1 iu -sides went away- stayed at 1iu for 2 weeks, went to 1 1/2 iu for 2 weeks ,then 2iu . No more sides, great results. I take GH on an empty stomach very early am , at least 1 1/2 hours before I eat. still at 2 iu, after several years HRT only.
