    HGH--->getting igf levels tested (JimInAK)

    Many of you on here are getting your igf levels tested during HGH usage.

    1.)I would like to know how long after starting HGH do you guys test your igf levels?

    2.)How long after last injection do you guys get your blood drawn for the igf lab test? Is their a specific window one needs to get this done at?

    Would appreciate any feedback you guys can offer.

    opti-

    i have had my igf-1 level checked by a testing company by sending in blood spot samples in a kit they provided. the testing company sends me a letter and/or will email or post the test results.

    i submitted my blood sample before taking any hgh, then i submitted a blood sample after four daily doses, and finally gave a blood sample at 30 days.

    my igf-1 level started at about 158 ng/ml, my second test came back at about 194 ng/ml and my final test came back at over 300 ng/ml (i didn't tell the testing company that i was on hrt, so the test they did topped out lower than my actual reading...)

    these tests cost about $90 each and will tell you if your hgh works.

    Asked this question, but in a different way. I asked if for example you and your friend were on the same HGH and your friend has the telltale signs of his body developing antibodies; red, swelling, itchiness and injection site and I did not could I have antibodies without symptoms ? So I'm curious to hear if you can be tested for antibodies ???

    By the way no ever answered my question.

    An IGF-1 blood test wouldn't tell you whether your HGH was "clean". Neither would it specifically identify/quantify an antibody issue.

    If antibodies had a negative effect on your body's use of your HGH, then you probably would have a lower IGF-1 reading and would assume that there is an issue with your HGH.

    Agree, but how long would this process take ? My friend as mentioned had all the signs of antibodies from his HGH. He had his blood tested 60 days out and his IGF-1 went up. I would guess it would take some time before the antibodies take over and IGF-1 starts to decrease. Be great if there was a cheaper test than a spectrum analysis ???

    Antibodies as I understand it happen with 192aa HGH. HGH in pure form has 191aa and it's that extra 1aa that could cause your body to resist and create antibodies to fight it. These antibodies over time could build up enough resistance to yield your HGH ineffective.
