HGH and adrenal insufficiency
I posted in the new year about really nasty sides(joint pain, horrible skin issues, anxiety) I was getting from HGH(both 1 IU and 1/2 IU a day), which caused me to stop. Turns out this was related to subclinical adrenal insufficiency which was made worse by the HGH,since it lowers cortisol still further. This is not a condition that is recognised by mainstream endocrinology, but alternative practitioners may use hydrocortisone to supplement insufficient endogenous cortisol. Hydrocortisone supplementation is not without its risks--at sufficiently high doses that may be warranted for symptom relief, it may cause atrophy of the adrenal glands. There's also the risk of osteoporosis.
I notice that there is a peptide called Hexarelin which is not only a secretagogue of HGH, but stimulates ACTH and cortisol. Does anyone have any information on the use of this peptide for this purpose, or any other substance that might have the same effect? Has anyone else had adrenal insufficiency 'unmasked' by using HGH?
I believe my problem stems from the pituitary and is not an adrenal problem, hence the conviction that higher levels of ACTH would actually case a rise in cortisol.

Hey, good info. I'd PM you, but I don't know how...
I'm currently having adrenal fatigue symptoms too, and I stumbled upon your thread. Unfortunately I have no experience with HGH to contribute, sorry. I'm just wondering if you had made any progress recovering from your adrenal symptoms.
I'm having all the tell-tale signs of AF , weak workouts, dry hands, sex drive not what it should be, having to take a nap in the afternoon, more energy at night. A few days ago, after some poking around regarding AF treatment, I started taking DHEA, vitamin C, and vitamin D, and b12 inj. I've already noticed a slight but noticeable improvement.
I have access to hydrocortisone inj. , I was thinking of starting a low dose. My assumption is that by taking exogenous HC , I'll be relieving my adrenal gland of having to produce it's own cortisol and also letting it take a break from receiving the battery of signals that demand it to produce more and keep it suppressed. Does this sound right? If this were the case, there wouldn't be a risk of damage to the adrenals by using HC. But, if I were to take something like ACTH or an ACTH stimulator, I would definitely be forcing more load on the adrenals , which is probably not a good idea under the circumstances.
Thoughts?
