My Insulin thread. Start to finish.
So I started my insulin today. Humalog fast acting. Weighed in at 222lbs. Started at 4iu in the gym 1min after I put my last set down. Waited 20min and drank 80g of simple carbs from Dextrose. Waited 45min after that and had my 60g of Protein. Waited another 45min and had my meal of diced chicken and brown rice mixed in a little bit of spagetti sauce for flavor. (it helps with the flavor b/c I hate brown rice). Around the 2 hour mark from my shot, i felt a tad shakey in my legs but that was all. I waited it out to see if i got dizzy or my hands shook at all but nothing. It passed. Ill use 4iu for the next several workouts then I plan on going up to 5iu. Ill keep this updated as I go.

Did shoulders today. Significantly stronger with military barbell presses. Id usually say its just placebo and a mental thing, but how much I increased the weight by, Id say its already helping. Did 4iu directly after last set. No issues today at all. Gonna increase to 5iu tomorrow.

insulin scares me.. also RE brown rice.. if you eat it with chicken, white rice is just as good as brown as the GI index is the same as brown when eaten with a protein.
just curious.. RE your name.. did you ever wreck a Vette?? i wrecked my 2005 C6 about 5 months after i bought it when i was drunk and tried to accelerate in the rain and side swiped a curb and broke off both wheels on my left hand side... whats your Vette wrecking story?

Did legs and triceps today, and directly after last set, did 5iu with only 50g of dextrose this time. No issues at all. Feel thick, and strong!!
Yep, Ive had several vettes. Wrecked my first one, a mint 1995 C4 with only 64k miles on it. Someone hit me head on, they crossed the center line. Totaled it.

Talked to my pro buddy the other day. He told me to start taking 5iu first thing when I wake up bc its the most catabolic time of the day, and insulin is the most anabolic thing you can take. Then, since I workout in the afternoon, take my normal IU. So yesterday I did 5iu in the morning. Felt great and it was my off day from the gym. Did 2iu when I woke up the other day on leg day, and did 5iu after the workout. Today I took 5iu when I woke up and gonna bump to 6iu after my workout. Strength is through the roof. Hard to describe other than very thick and and can actually "feel" anabolic. No issues at all so far and I believe its due to bc im taking the fast acting slin and I can time everything perfectly and accordingly.

I drank my 50g of dextrose 20min after injection as normal. Waited 45min after that and had my 7 eggs (6 whites, 1 whole) and 50g complex carb shake with it.
Yesterday woke up, 5iu first thing in the morning, everything as normal. Afternoon workout (chest) and bumped up to 6iu immedietly post workout. Got some hot flashes around the 2 1/2 hour mark but had 2 protein bars back to back and went back to normal. (although the hot flashes could have been caused by the massive arguement I had with my girl lol)

drop the egg yolk in the morning and post workout be carefull of fats in the protein bars your having...
*remember - insulin is a "storing" hormone, if you take in fats while the slin is active its going to store it... keep all meals super lean...

I get that, but dude, im not a pro, im never going to compete. 1 egg yolk will not make me fat. Im less concerned about the fat in the protein bar than I was about going hypo. Come on man.

Woke up today, did my 5iu first thing as usual. Lowered my Dextrose to 45g instead of 50g. Gonna do 6iu this afternoon after my shoulder workout. Tomorrow is my off gym day but I will still do my 5iu in the morning. Then friday, I will do my usual 5iu in the AM, then bump to 7iu after workout.
Ive always trained very intensely. So overall Id say maybe a tad if more intense at all. I still walk out of the gym shaking as I always have lol. My slin stays in the fridge at all times except for when I take it with me to the gym in my gym bag. Then right back in the fridge when I get home.

Today woke up and did my 5iu first thing. Waited 20min and took my 45g of dextrose along with all my morning pills including my Anadrol . I gotta say, I love taking the Anadrol after I take my slin shot. I get super vascular and hard and im just sitting down watching TV! lol!! The slin forces the drol into the muscles its wierd. Went the gym in the afternoon and directly after bumped up to 7iu. Waited 20min and took my 65g of dextrose. No issues at all. Im just over my first week in and im up about 3-5lbs. I can only imagine its going to continue to climb as the weeks come!!

I'm getting a prescription novalog pen LOL - as soon as I get it i'm going to start up again. I'm looking into a better quality hgh too..... the combo should be awesome.

HOLY SHIT! WICKED TAT MAN!
it's the same slin a humalog - just a different manufacturer. It's an actual pen that holds insulin with a dial on it that counts IU's. You turn it to how man ever IU's you want - attach the needle - and once the needle is under the skin you push the pens button and it shoots the slin through the needle. It's a US pharm grade prescription slin pen.

Did my normal every morning 5iu apon wakening, waited 20min and drank my 45g dextrose, took all my morning pills including my Anadrol . Love taking Drol after my slin shot. Its a crazy tight pump just sitting there.
Afternoon workout, bumped up to 8iu for first time. Waited 20min, drank my 70g of dextrose. Feel thick, muscles full.. and up another 2lbs today!

Last night felt a little shakey around the 2 1/2 hour mark, but this has only happend on the first time I up my iu. Drank 20g of extra dextrose just to be safe. Was back to normal in 10min.
Did my 5iu apon waking up as normal. Hit the gym, did my 2nd day at 8iu. So far so good... and up another pound! At the rate its about 1lbs per day. For 4 hours after my slin shot, I eat super clean as i dont want to pack on fat. Around 4500 cals per day, 500g carbs, 300-400g of protein.

True, but in all honesty im not gonna be running around pricking myself every single day after my shot. Just not gonna do it. lol.
Did my 8iu earlier tonight after workout, drank my 70g dextrose as I did the night before... not a single problem this time. I think it only happens when the body is adjusting to an extra iu of slin. I do the same routine every time and I only feel shakey on the day I up my iu dose. Interesting. Tomorrow (thursday) is my off gym day so I will only be doing my 5iu when I wake up.

Weight gain so far is right around 7lbs in 2 weeks. However, I didnt gain any weight the first week. And so far, my waist is the exact same size as before I started.

I originally stopped because I was going to be partying for a couple days. Now I wanna try novalog before continuing with humulin r. It's a bit difficult for me to time my carbs and food at night with humulin. I could probably doit in the morning tho if I got my shit together and woke up on time LOL

Yeah man, my pro buddies here have all told me that using the Humulin is too risky with going hypo bc its too long acting to time carbs accordingly. They both have said they have gone hypo several times using it. But using humalog is easy bc it spikes at the 2 hour mark and thats about it. Easy to time accordingly.

Hey mate! thanks alot for the thread its really helpful! im thinking of starting a cycle of Slin with a humalog pen. however before i do it i really want to a diet that would be most effective with slin in check! so i was wondering bro if it would not alot of trouble if you could post the diet that your on? as the from the quote you said early thats the right amount of stuff i'll like to be getting in me!

Soo something funny has been going on. Up to 9iu post workout and still doing my normal 5iu every morning when I wake up. Tomorrow (wednesday) will be exactly 3 weeks in. Ive gained about 8 or 9 lbs. BUT heres whats funny/odd.... Ive LOST almost an inch off my waist!!! Isnt that odd or strange for insulin considering it has a tendency to make you gain fat. Ive actually leaned up a tad. Not doing any cardio and while my diet is clean, its not overkill. Anyways, all my gym rat buddys are telling me every day how ive gotten thick and filling out!

Dude thats alot to post. Mainly chicken, brown rice, eggs, protein shakes, complex carb powder shakes, chicken sandwiches, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on oatmeal bread (yup ) , every 2 hours im eating.

Up to 10iu post workout now. And 6iu first thing in the morning. Feeling great! Weight hasnt gone up much lately, but i think its bc im losing fat. My mid section has leaned up alot, enough for my gf to say something about it knowing im not doing any cardio. But im still getting thicker so im really not worried about what the scale is saying too much. My shoulders and upper chest is filling out nicely and my waist is down about 1 1/2"!!
