New Insulin Thread, Round 2, start to finish*

Started my second round of Humalog today. Took a month off from my last one. Got up to 10iu pwo and 5iu every morning. Gained 9lbs and lost 1" off my waist. Came off weighing at 229lbs.
Started at 7iu pwo today, took in 63g of dextrose 10min after injection. 45min later, took in 65g of protein. 2 hours on the dot after shot, started feeling a little shakey so had a protein bar and a glass of milk. Back to normal.
I plan on running for 6-8 weeks this time (only ran it for 5 weeks last time) and up to 10iu in the morning and 15iu pwo. Stepped on the scale today at 227lbs.
Before my first Slin run at 221-ish lbs.
Me after my first Slin run at 229lbs. Much thicker all over.

You are a thick 227. Are you running slin with other compounds? I'm very interested in this topic so I will be following. Best of luck.

Most people guess me around 240 ish and im guessing thats bc I have NO wheels. None. Got a plate and screw in one ankle and had knee surgery on my other leg between motorcycle accidents and car accidents so I cant do much with heavy weights on legs.
D7M, I have but i can find much info on timing. Plus, 60g pwo isnt quite the same as 60g pre workout due to burning glucose during workout. I dunno. Im down to try if I can get info on timing. How long before workout do you shoot? How long after the shot do I drink my dextrose?

Are you planning to gain muscle, loose fat? what on this round? !" lost on waist and +9lbs last time is no joke - where did you gain? Any before & afters? I'll follow with interest but I'm prolly not game for slin til 2012. 2011 is the peptide year for me...;-)

yeah ive been on test-e for awhile now and I just started Dbol at 60mg/ed. Im ending my cycle with Test-e, Dbol and slin at the end of January so I can take a few months off before starting back on early summer.

Nice work bro, your thickness is sick. Don't know if you motivate me or make me want to give up.
I followed your other thread and will follow this one as well. I meant to ask in your other thread - to what specifically do you attribute the 1" - 1 1/2" you lost off your waist? I understand how slin increases muscle tissue but didn't know it had fat burning properties as well. 1" is an amazing amount of fat while gaining almost 10 lbs.

I didnt do any cardio so it wasnt that! lol! My buddy told me that since I had added so much muscle tissue so fast my metabolic rate changed and I just started burning fat. Dunno but Im not complaining!

Upped my dose to 10iu post work out last night. Same as last slin run, when I get to 10iu, I have to do 100g or more of carbs. The formula of 8g per iu just doesnt seem to work at 10iu, at least for me. Started getting sweaty and hot flashes so had some scoops of ice cream and back to normal in 10 minutes. I took in 90g of simple carbs 20min after injection as always. So for me, at 10iu, I need a full 10g per iu. Less than 10iu, I can get away with about 8g per iu.
Did my morning shot this morn at 10iu. 20min later 100g of dextrose. 20min after that, 6 eggs, 1/2 cup plain oatmeal with 25g whey protein mixed with 30g waxymaize carbs.

Not exactly sure, but if I had to guess probably around 4-4500 cals.
Did my 10iu first thing this morning. Waited 20min and drank my 100g dextrose. Waited 20 more minutes and had my 5 eggs, 1/2 cup plain oatmeal, 30g wazymaize and 25g whey protein shake. No issues at the 2 hour mark.
Afternoon workout.... Did 5iu PRE-workout today for first time. Waited 10min drank 45g dextrose. 20min later I was in the gym. Sipped on 45g dextrose and 30g wazymaize with BCAA (extend) while working out the whole time, no issues. Post workout, shot 5iu more. Waited 20min, 45g dextrose. Waited 30min and drank my 65g whey protein shake.
Will probably up my pre workout IU by 2 and jump right back to 10iu post workout as before. Ill keep you updated.

Update... Normal 10iu first thing in the morning, wait 20min and drink my 90g dextrose. I have found that I can get away with 90g wtih 10iu on my morning shot. I assume bc of the amount of slow carbs im taking in with my morning meal. 5/6 eggs, 1/2 cup oatmeal, 25g whey protein mixed with 30g Waxymaize carbs.
Did pre workout 5iu shot maybe 40min before the gym. Waited 20min drank 40g sugar with 40g complex carbs. During workout I drink 30g waxymaize carbs with Extend BCAA and 40g dextrose mixed together.
Postwork did 10iu today. Waited 20min and drank 100g dextrose. Waited 40min and ate 1 chicken breast and 1 cup white rice. No issues.

Update... Normal 10iu first thing in the morning with normal eating routine.
Did NOT shoot pre workout slin today. Decided to up my post workout slin shot instead to 12iu. Took in 110g of carbs. 40min later did a chicken breast with 1 cup of rice with 40g whey protein and 60g waxymaize carbs shake. No issues and feeling thick!!

i want to do something like this. is there any age limit to what your doin? i mean, i was gonna sart a cyle of test/d-bol but was told to wait till im 25 at a bare minimum. im 21 as od now, so could i get away with it? with no harm to my body?

Um no, Slin is for Advanced users who have been in the game for years.... not someone whos never even ran a cycle. Plus, you can get diabetes or die from it if you use it wrong.

vette, you reckon my trt 250 sust is enough aas to go ahead and start the slin? or should i possibly fire in a short burst oral cycle, like dbol for 4wks? cheers

This thread made me snatch a insulin pen from my girlfriend
just did 14units post workout, see how that goes.
been doing 12units 3 days now and it works with no issues.
Im drinking 50g (1dl) maltodextrin + about 30g protein(whey), right after my slin shot.
I'm not having the same issue you are with the carbs though...
GL with your goal of hitting 240! looking forward to se how it goes!

So you just read this thread and decided to start off with 12iu on your first run?? Seriously?? I think youre lucky you didnt have problems and very irrisponsible if thats the case. Count your blessings nothing bad happened.
Upped my pwo to 14iu today. Took in 127g dextrose with no issues. Chicken and rice 45min later, no issues. Growing strong and thick but havent weighed myself.

of course its not my first time using slin, I just didn't want to hijack your thread with a bunch of info on me...
I started at 6units, added 2 units every day up to 12 and now 14 units.
I just thought I make an input about your issue going over 10+ units.
I'm not experiencing any problems with it, drinking my 50g of carbs with some protein.
I use insulin aspart, also measuring my blood glucose first days now so I can be sure it doesn't drop when I go higher on the slin..

VW how are you feeling at 14iu? Did you also do 10iu in the morning? Is there any noticible strength gain when you increase the dose? You should post some pics midway and at the end. Keep up the good work and can't wait to see the final result. I've considered insulin use for a while but in know I can gain a lot more before I take that step but your threads are great to learn from and will basically follow your method when I am ready (maybe two more years).

Userat204..... Today (as every morning) I did my normal 10iu and shake and food intake timed accordingly.
Upped my post workout to 15iu and 136g of dextrose. Waited 40min and had a chicken breast and a cup of rice. A tad shakey at the 2 hour mark but not as bad as I have been before, had some pepsi and normal within minutes.
Honestly I cant feel any difference between any of the IU doses. Maybe a tad stronger from start to now but not between upping each dose. Ill probably stay at the 14iu mark for the remaining few weeks.
Weird thing tho... Im DEFFINITLY thicker than I was 3 weeks ago. Deff stronger. Everyone is telling me how thick im looking. Clothes are fitting snug. Step on the scale today.. 225!!! WTF?? Ive lost 2lbs?? Yup... im thicking not possibly with doing NO cardio and all that Im eating. No explanation.

Nope. Maybe fat loss bc EVERYONE almost daily is telling how thick im getting. No clue. Im not too worried about it though bc I look great!!

Yeah I've heard when done properly you will loose some fat. I think what it comes down to is how you are looking because it you are getting thicker but loosing a couple pounds I'm sure you are replacing fat with muscle even though you don't look like you are carrying any fat but ofcourse there is always some. That sounds like good results thus far and I'll bet you will start packing on the weight soon after you have all ready experienced some change in body comp.

Thats what I want!! Ive had abbs at 215, and EVERY guy at the pool around me has abbs at 170lbs, but I want them at 225 or bigger! hahaha!!
But again, my motto is-- If youre as big as a bulldozer who cares about abbs! And im bigger than most! lol
