Slin: At risk of diabetes?

Started taking insulin Humulin R about a week ago. Started at 2iu's and have worked my way up to 7. So far I've experienced bloating and a slight headache which is probably normal. What worries me is I've gone from peeing 2 times a day to about 5. I know that frequent urinating can be a sign that your body isn't using slin properly and thus a sign of diabetes. I was planning on working my way to 10iu ED for 4weeks and then going off. Am I at risk of developing diabetes? Or am I just being a *****. Help greatly appreciated.
