    Pain always coming back

Once again, i trained and the fukking pain is back in the trapese region and lower back region.

When i take the back pills its ok but when i dont it hurts.

What am i doing wrong god damn it, when i train i dont feel pain at all its always after a day or two after i train that the pain sets in.

My osteo tells me that its muscular and muscular fatigue is setting in.

It now seems i cant lift heavy cause i am in pain, i cant do any exercise that will work the trapeze region cause the pain comes back.

So no upward pushing movement, i cant do close pulley rows or any type of rowing movement.

What is left to do kill myself.

I called my osteopath back with a zesty message, he called me back and said that he cancelled my rendez vous for next Friday Dec 7th, he said he has other therapy to suggest and that the pain coming back must be related to me doing to much at the same time, running at night, lifting heavy weights even if i am using machines.

Now when i take robaxacet for back pain it works great the pain goes away so its muscular but i cant always stay on the pills for the rest of my life.

Wouldnt it be better to go back in the gym and do light exercises.

    Leg extension 3 X 15 reps
    Leg curls 3 X 15
    Vertical bench 3 X 15 reps
    Lat pulldown 3 X 15 reps
    Lateral raise 3 X 15
    Tricep pushdown 3 X 15 reps
    Bicep curls 3 X 15 reps

and elliptic machine for cardio since that one gives me no pain at all.

I need to lose 30 pounds or so?

Yeah, man sorry too hear about you're injury. I have problems in the trapezius region that are similar to yours. It only really hurts when I am doing presses with my back against a bench. However, I can still do trap and shoulder work, just no flat chest movements.

Pressing movement, yeah i should take a look at this, maybe put a lot less weight on the vertical bench press has well.

And cut out the incline smith machine.

    You need a new doc.

Therapy serves two PRIMARY purposes: 1) to retrain (such as in walking after an accident) and; 2) for pain management.

You shouldn't be in either category. Your goal is to learn what is causing the pain and how it can be resolved. The upper back and lower back pain though possibly related and likely from the same external source, obvioulsy do not have the same bodily one source.

Thus I'd like for you to answer these questions separately for both pains:
    • rate pain from 1-10 (one being annoying; ten unbearable)?
    • was there a specific injury to this area?
    • is it only after back lifting days?
    • only after heavy back lifting days?
    • is pain on both sides of the body?
    • is one side worse?
    • does laying down alleviate pain?
    • can you sleep on your stomach without meds?
    • does lifting light weight hurt or is it just not possible?
    • does stretching hurt?
    • does it hurt to look behind you?

I dont want to be the negative nancy but some injuries man cant just dissapear if you are living an active lifestyle. I have had a stretched MCL in my knee and a stretched tricep tendon and that was 3 years ago and they keep coming back every now and then the pain is like seasonal. I went and saw as many doctors as there were in town, they test everything and say nothing is wrong, we get MRI's done and and nothing shows, we do some ultrasound sessions some electric stim sessions, that makes things relax and i am cleared to go back and train, and then every now and then the pain comes back.

I dont want to live on painkillers so since i have been cleared by more than one specialist i forced myself to think like them nothing is wrong even if there is some pain. I trained and strengthened the muscles around the injury and somedays it feels normal, others not so normal, but i accepted i did everything i can and its just something that will come back every now and then maybe for the rest of my life.

Yes but in my case there is too much going on to just work true the pain, when i start training its good but at some point when i use heavier weights and press the training a bit, add cardio the pain comes back and can be very frustrating.

I have confidence in the chiro i am going to see tonight, is exam was great.

I saw an osteopath this summer she was a bit wacky but she reajusted 2 vertebras in my neck and the pain went away, the rest of her treatments where crap.

The chiro told me that i would have 6-7 to be adjusted and that the pain should not come back.

    That's promising.
But x-rays can be inconclusive, the MRI leaves nothing to chance.

    Best to you,

    M.
