How long to see results w/ accutane

I am running accutane for the first time, I have been running 50mg ed and I take it all in the morning. I have been on it for 3 weeks. How long until it gets better?

I have noticed that my face is alot more dry but my acne is still the same.

I went through a 5 month cycle on the highest dosage. Be patient...It will work, It will change your life. But before it does that you will feel like you are in Hell for a while. Your Acne will get a lot worse first. you will notice that the skin on your face is flaking off and dry, but you will be producing extra oil. You will be a real mess for a while, and probably won't feel well on and off. The end results are INCREDIBLE. Stay with it and Good Luck!

i can agree with 2nd post. while i was on it, it was absolutely horrible, i thoughts of depression ,headaches and bone pain. But in the end the results were incredible

Yup, you will question if it's worth all the trouble while on but by the 4th-5th month of a 6 month cycle your face should stop flaking and your lips might stop cracking up and peeling, at that point you'll be feeling pretty good about yourself. Might be worth mentioning that if you've got acne on your back/shoulder/chest that it will scar, ~5 months after I stopped use I've still got red/purple coloured scarring.

I was told by a great voice, that 20mg-30mg a day is enough.....Just my two cents.

i might be doin some accutane. but i wanna run another cycle before hand. then run my pct. wait a week or so after my pct then go to the doc for the accutane for blood results. dont need him to know i did a cycle. and whats the deal with scarring on the back? i have some shoulder acne.... but its not to to bad. but is scaring a definet
