Tanning Beds
I have went to two sessions in a tanning bed and today was suppose to be my third, but I might hold off. I have two concerns regarding tanning beds:
-Are they actually safe?
-Do they worsen acne or improve acne?

Probably "safer" than eating some mickie d's
I'm not sure if beds actually help dry out some of the extra oils that your skin may be producing, or if your tan will better conseal your acne, but I've always heard that it helps

does anybody know if they worsen current acne. Because after two sessions, it was less noticable but I did develop a couple different ones, but that could be totally unrelated

Not sure if it actually HELP acne, but it sure helps to reduce the appearance of it and thats good enough for me. LPR would be the best person to ask about this. Maybe he will get in here, but I havent seen him around in a bit.

So if I continue to tan, it won't worsen my acne. Also in terms of safety, they aren't too bad regarding health?

Results will vary, depending on the induvidual. I love tanning, helps my bacne alittle and I look damn good all tanned up. But I recently have been on Doxycyclin, and that shlt has cleared my skin completly.

I love tanning. When used properly, it should be fairly safe.
Use proper tanning bed lotion for your skin pigment (not outdoor lotion), wear proper eye protection, and be responsible. Most issues happen by people not wearing proper lotion, or by burning.
I find that with tanning, if I have any acne it usually clears up, and my skin is really smooth and moisterized (from the lotion.)

Moderation, just like everything, its as safe as being outside. Unless you tan everyday then your begging for skin cancer.
