After I increased the weight on the barbel I am feeling a very bad pain in the joint of my right shoulder. What to do?

i don't know about you, but use motrin and ice, ice ice. i too was there and now back at that spot..no matter how frustrating it is to use less weight..it is downright ***ressing to have to stop altogether.

I had shoulder problems for about 3 years and got rid of them completly from proper form. All shoulder press with dumbell or barebell I stop 90 degrees, also stopped doing standing power press, way too much pressure on wrists and shoulders. Had also rear delt problem from bench because I would go down too far(I have long arms). After a month or 2 after changing it all shoulder problems were gone.

Ice when you can. Avoid all exercises that cause any pain. Does it hurt any less if you use dumbells instead of the barbell? Some find relief with using the dumbells instead. No wide grip presses for sure.
