Back pain getting more serious, what to do?

About 5 weeks ago I was working out, I believe doing shoulder or bench day. At some point during my workout something must have occured or I pulled something. I never actually felt a pain in my back while working out, but later that night or the next day I felt a pain in my mid back. It feels like It is muscular but I am no doctor. It is located mid back, my L side, and feels like It is coming from under (medical name please) the big bone in my back. I rested It for a week w/ no working out and put some Icyhot on there, somewhat went away. Now It is back again. Should I see a doctor about this? I could still work out but this is very uncomfortable, sitting, standing and such.

    big bone? your SPINE? lol
if its to the side.. and its an ACHE like muscle.. i'd say u strained the eff outta that bitch and just havnt given it ample time to heal.. i'd really go to a theraputic massuse.. if u can find a good one.. they are worth their weight in platinum.

I'd go to a chiropractor if I were you.

I'v had my pain tracked down....Its my shoulder blade....and I do think I hurt It on a shoulder day but didnt consider shoulder blade because the pain is coming from my mid back....which is exactly where my shoulder blade is

scapula is the name of the bone.

    Sounds muscle/tendon/tissue related

Have you been allowing it to heal, ice, or taking anything to reduce inflamation? Going to a chiro isn't a bad idea, they should be able to tell you what is going on in there.
