Hurt my back doing shrugs- help fellas

    i was doing heavy shrugs...
during the set was all fine... but the next morning i really felt it, i could barely move at all
im starting to think it's a disc problem... my spine's got a "C" shape and this problem has happened before but this time it was a more sharp and stronger pain

any ideas ? thanks a bunch

    please guys help here...

when waking up in the morning the pain is strong... but it gets easier during the day....

would that be a muscle related pain ?

it's hurts maybe on the very lower portion of the trap.. almost in the middle of my back but a bit to the left..

its not constant... i feel the pain depending on the movement i make..

please guys im in the 3rd week of my test cyp cycle.. i cant be having too many days off...

Have you gotten an x-ray. It is usually pretty cheap compared to some medical treatment.

just came back from the chiropractor and the guy said my muscle is sprained

then he gave me some magnesium tablets and told me they should help relaxing the muscles or some shit like that..

i dunno...i'll see how it goes

    everyone's spine is C shaped
    cervical spine lordosis C shape
    thorasic spine kyphosis C shap
    lumbar lordosis again C shape
so an S with an extra C

It's muscle, and take an NSAID, Ibuprofen works well. The Magnesium is so he could sell you something off his overpriced shelf, it's kinda a home remedy but doesn't work to well imo.

chiro, i was doing shrugs last night with 360 as my working set, thought i had pulled the trap or my teres major..

this morning.. nothing, did legs to give the upper body an extra day to recover..

in the past though i've been treated with spot injections of cortisone due to back injury...

just came back from the hospital...

had some xrays and shit... it was definetely a muscle thing

the doctor said the pain it's gonna go away... it might take a week, it might take 2 weeks but it's going away

the doctor gave me some panadol and some tramadol...

    that's it
thanks for those who tried to help
    cheers

With an injury like this are you able to work through it or are you forced to take time off all together. The reason I ask is I felt a strong pull myself with the last shrug workout kinda took my breath away, next day very sore , had day off then had chest and tri which seemed ok, then next day was back and bi's some discomfort, sore as hell this morning but back to shoulders and shrugs later today I am a bit nervous, is it a try it and see thing or am I going to make this worse and should I skip at least the shrug portion?

How did the spot injections work for you?
I still have pain from time to time from the herninated disc I had awhile back.
not sure if I should look into something like that or not.
