    Tendon in elbow

Its a little hard to explain but the little knob on the underside of the elbow seems to have a tendon that rubs over it when I extend my arm. Seems like the tendons should sit in the little groove created by the elbow itself and the knob, but mine seem to sit on the knob itself and when doing arm exercises it rubs back and forth over the top of it causing irritation and discomfort. This is just in my left elbow, my right is fine.

Im wondering if this is going to lead to an injury down the road or if I will just have to deal with the pain? Anyone have anything similar to this?

my left elbow started hurting due to doing heavy triceps workout, and the pain was unbearable, i took off from working out for 4 weeks and now its fine. i don't think the tendon is located in the groove, its right on the bone from the tip, you just have inflamed tendon, ice it and rest for few weeks. see photo,

Its definitely from doing triceps or at least thats when it bothers me anyway. Maybe the tendon is detached from where its supposed to be but if I feel my right elbow while extending my arm I dont feel any tendons or ligaments, but in my left I can clearly feel a tendon rubbing back and forth on the knob on the inside of my elbow. I will give it a rest for a few and see what happens.

you just feel it rubbing with no pain invovled? I with bass try some ice and rest.dont worry bro you dont have a detached tendon, you most likely have an inflamed tendon .

absolutely, if it was detached you won't be able to do anything and you will be in allot of pain.

Sounds to me like the ulnar nerve or inflammation of the tendon from misuse! Doing skull crushers and a few other exercises will agrivate this, you will most likely have to find a way around it...TOP

Thanks for the insight guys. Much appreciated. I will take it easy for a bit and try some ice and see if that takes care of it.
