So yesterday I was in the gym doing shoulders and traps.

So I start of with doing some upright rows with the EZ bar and about 6 reps in I feel my back sieze up. So I put the weight down, tried to stretch things out but even picking the bar back up was agony. I went straight home and man, my back was in agony! And im not one to complain about pain usually.

I popped a couple of ibrufen and went to see the Doc who said it looks as if i've damaged some of the muscle fibres in the left side of my back.

Being a Doctor, she's recommending I take 1-2 weeks off, NOT COOL! I have to admit waking up today I can still feel a twinge. She said the pain will probably subside in 48 hours but training again too soon just aggrevate it again.

I'm guessing this pretty much rules me out of doing any kind of exercise on any bodypart now. NOT WHAT I NEED RIGHT NOW!

I really, really hope this doesn't compromise exercises for the future. I really want to work on my back which I feel is lagging behind my other upper body parts.
