Knee Pain Help
So I was playing in a outdoor game of soccer and suddenly I felt a sharp pain on the left side of my knee. There was no popping or any sort of cause for this pain. I was simply walking and felt it. Went to the Ortho and X-rays came out negative for any ligament damage but he wants to send me for an MRI to see what's really going on. He prescribed me an anti-inflammatory which seemed to work for a few days but the pain is still in my knee. I can walk and do normal activities but damn this sharp pain is annoying and bothersome. Does this sound like a meniscus issue?

Posting about it here isn't going to do much good, what do you want to hear? yes 'said person' says it sounds like that? Wait for the MRI and get a full diagnosis and report back then people can offer advice from their previous experiences, until then it's just speculation and could be irresponsible and dangerous for us to offer advice.

Was just fishing to see if anyone had a similar situation. Money is a little tight at the moment so I'm not sure if I can do an MRI at the moment.

Not particularly descriptive.
My knee will lock, if I kneel too long. Unlocking is very painful, by extending my leg a few times, certainly with some "popping".
X ray won't show much.
MRI will. Mine showed significant meniscus tear, with a bone chip. It gets better, then worse... Procrastinating surgery.
