Decent (long) hair style for a guy? Yay or nay?
I've spent the last six months growing my hair out to the point I now "look" the part of the slacker that I truly am. However, I want to clean it up a bit, but still retain the length factor. Stylist and ex-gf both like this look...so, males and females, do you think this is a decent cut for a guy?

Sure . . . why not? Messy is the trend the last few years. Give it a shot - if you don't like it you can always cut it again, because its relatively long.
I just cut all my hair off yesterday. Not shaved, but the lowest setting. It something new.

You guys are hilarious. Long hair IMO is not the manliest thing but if you're trying to have the 'in' look the less-than-manly hair cut you posted will get you there.

Actually, working near Harvard Square, I can tell you that the look here is decidedly more close cropped.

As far as the earlobes go, you could always find something like a theatrical supply shop and get some putty to put on there.
As far as the hair goes . . . the guy in the thumbnail you posted has way too much goop in his hair, makes it clump in nasty worm-like strands. Plus, it's been bleached (either that or he had his roots darkened). Aside from that, it's ok. Just go easy on the goop. Use stuff that has lots of plasticizers in it and not much vaseline or oil (usually the super-holding gel sold at WalMart), and you'll be fine.

When you said long hair, I thought you meant "long hair". I have pretty long hair. I usually keep mine in a pony tail. I'd like to wear it down more often, but I can't because if I do it flares out and looks like Axl Rose's hair in the "Welcome to the Jungle" video.

I gotta agree with Dr Death. If i wanted to have my hair like in that pick id have to cut alot off. Thats not really 'long'. If i were you id pick a style or cut you actually like as in the end evryone has a differnt view. I just avoid all these problems by always wearing a hat.
