My diet so far - PICS

I have put about two months into trimming down.

I dropped my calories to 1,800 a day on a 60/20/20 diet and it is going very well so far. I am down 15 pounds total (210 to 195), and I think I have still continued to put muscle on (albeit slowly) - so I have lost more than 15 pounds of fat.

Believe it or not, my "before" picture is after putting on a LOT of muscle and losing a LOT of fat...so you can imagine how awful I looked at the beginning of the year when I got back to the gym after six years off from a spinal injury.

I have six weeks until the end of the year and I am working hard to see how good I can look in exactly one year of work. I ONLY WISH I HAD PUT MORE EMPHASIS ON DIET FROM THE START!

Thanks. I probably should have mentioned that earlier this year I was well over 30% body fat.

I know my pics aren't impressive, and I am not as big as I was when I was younger, but I have worked hard this year just to get back into decent shape. Mine is not a bodybuilder's dream story, but I have come back from six years off and am almost at the point where I am not disgusted with myself. And I did it in my 40s, which would have been impossible if I hadn't started TRT. Without the Test injections, I would still have chronic aches, pain and muscle cramps that would have made it impossible to lift.

No gyno. I carry a lot of my fat on my chest and abs, and I still have a lot of fat to lose. I am probably still at 18 - 20%.

I wish I had a shot of what I looked like in January, but I would never let anyone take a picture of me even with a shirt on. Hell, I wouldn't even let my wife see me shirtless if I could avoid it. That is how bad it was.

Sorry I missed that bit - I know the feeling, I've put on too much fat lately and it all goes to my chest ..I'd much rather just have a gut over a flabby chest so back to strict dieting I go! Goodluck with the remaining weight loss broski

I just found all the paperwork from my doctor's visits. I have put on 22 pounds of muscle, and lost 40 pounds of fat since the beginning of the year. It seems like I should have added more muscle, but it turns out I have just been maintaining my muscle since I have started dieting more aggressively. I can't complain about that, I suppose.

    THANKS EVERYBODY!

I am psyched for the next six weeks. I have bumped up cardio to 45 - 60 minutes a day. I hate cardio, but the thought of starting next year in decent shape is a big deal for me. Then I can start putting on some size!
