Not sure where it started, but it looks decent for your size. Consider doing a lot more parallel chin up. You have a great base and tons of potential.

First, you look damn good bro. Solid base, great job. I know what you mean... I have the same problem.... kind of lacking in width and the 'roundless' of the lats. Could just be genetics tbh. Some people have those nice round wings, and some are more 'straight' - like me (and maybe you). Either way, you have to work with what you've got. You still look better than 95% of people on the planet. That alone should make you feel good.

Your back looks great. I saw the fastest gains with my back with deadlifts. I have also heard that barbell rows build wide backs.

Deadlifts will work the overall back, but IMO add to overall depth and thickness, particularly in the lower back/spinal erectors. For width, stick with medium grip pull ups/lat pull downs. Drop the weight to something manageable that REALLY allows you to feel the stretch and contraction. For thickness, nothing beats rows.

Looking solid. Wide grip pull ups, rows and deadlift made my back grow pretty thick!
