2 year progress - fat to thin

    Hey guys

New member here so be gentle. After a long cut, a bulk and cutting again I feel I am nearing my fat loss goal, but still have a way to go. I would appreciate any BF% estimates you can give me, I'm thinking around 18%? Still a long way away from my ultimate goal though, few years at least.

I'm pretty proud of myself as I've always been on the tubby side and my daughter has given me the inspiration I really needed to get myself in shape. Basically as soon as she could crawl and I needed to chase after her I realised that being knackered after 10 minutes was cheating my daughter and just plan wrong.

Currently lifting as heavy as I can 2/3 times a week and cardio 3 times a week. Any hints/tips/encouragement greatly appreciated.

Excellent work mate!!.......you have came along way, well done.

only tip id give is to keep the positive attitude and continue training heavy. Also if you want help on your diet, head over to the diet section...diet is the key.

    whats your diet been like?

    Cheers mate.

Currently weight 168lbs, cals 1800 a day split 40p/40c/20f. Pretty strict. I know the cals are low but it works for me, I struggle to lose any weight at all at anything higher and think I manage to keep my (admittedly minor) gains. Completely agree that diet is key, took me a while to work that out in the beginning.

good for keeping strict, i struggle all the time with diet so props to you! 1800 isnt that low mate, though if you have been doing it a long time maybe add in some structured re-feeds.

whats your goals for the next 2 years?

Sorry mate should have said. Good old re-feed on sundays, big carbs!!

Gonna keep cutting and try and get the BF down to around 10%. Then clean sensible bulk. I'm not aiming to be the hulk, but want to get some size and stay lean. I've done a bulk cycle and wasnt strict at all, went up to 3000 cals. Yes I made gains but put a lot of fat back on. I'm not doing that again, gain fat too easily and have to fight like f*ck to get it back off. Just gonna take my time and make small gains over time. I am considering some gear hence why I'm here but will get the BF down first.
