SLOWER with new computer oddly enough

With my new laptop, FORUM is SLOW SLOW SLOW....my post take forever to load...everything is SLOW...amazing since my older 4 year old laptop loaded with super speed.. so I am wondering if the complaints of the SLOW UPDATE have anything to do with older vs newer computers? maybe? or is it slow for everyone now anyway....

New computers come with a bunch of bloatware on them which can very well be the reason why your new lappy is slow.

Are you running the same virus and spyware protection as the old laptop? I had to ditch Norton because it was so intrusive. I run Webroot now all is well.

Thank God someone posted the real deal before this guy started trying to return his puter or format the hard drive..Actually the latter is always a good idea it will speed things immensly.

PS Anytime you have this kind of problem all you need to do is to go to another bulletin board if one is slow and one is fast its the board not your puter or connection.

It's got nothing to do with your new laptop, its your internet connection, or the servers here your connecting to are not up to scratch.

Thats what we are on right now, the portion of a website where you can make posts and reply to posts is generally termed a bulletin board. By opening two websites with bulletin boards at the same time and doing site A vs site B testing if one is fast and the other slow you can rest assured that either the site is slow or a router/switch (rare) that handles traffic to that site (not your home router) is slowing the site. Of course you could also have a corrrupt cookie on your machine that slows the response of a certain sites bulletin board but this is pretty rare.

SO: had a MacBook..the hard drive blew up ( last Saturday)...so..got a Macbook Air....SLOWER than molasses...then I decided to return the AIR and get a new hard drive for my older Mac which is MUCH better than the newer AIR..and while there ( in the APPLE store) I mentioned to them about Bloatware and they said only in PC's....so..there you go....newer is not always better! In this case anyway..

THANKS for all of the input..I have been dealing with this for a week now and am happy to have my LAPTOP back and working properly!!....
