Hey nat
This is the right place to come. One thing I will say is that toning per sé doesn't exist. Tone is simply the low levels of contractile activity across a muscle at rest, giving the appearance of firmness. Tone is gained through any type of repetitive exercise and also through lifting heavy weights. It does not take long to gain muscle tone, and if you are regularly working out you already have most of the muscle tone you will ever have. What you want is to either lose weight or gain muscle or both. Muscle tone is lost only if you do little or no exercise for several months or even a year.
Head down to female questions, there are some great female veterans on here that give great workout advice.
I shouldn't really be explaining this here, since this is just the welcoming forum, sorry Vette, Nark .
