    Not new member, but I've been gone for a while

    Hello, I'm sure a lot of the old people I remember are not still around, but there are a handful I see.

    So I've been out of the lifting game for a while, back in Sept. 2016 I had ruptured my pec major tendon and had to have it repaired. The recovery process went pretty well physically (asthetically eh) but I couldn't get back mentally. I lost all desire to train and compete (powerlifting) just couldn't bounce back like I did in my 20's or 30's (yes I'm old). I'd try from time to time to stoke up some motivation knowing once I saw some progress I'd be good to go again, however it just never panned out like I would've hoped.
    Well about 2 months ago and almost three years from the injury something finally clicked. I got back to training started doing better with my diet and am finally rediscovering the old me. So I'm pretty pumped up about this it's been a pretty shitty road to travel. So just wanted to say Hi and I'm on my way to being semi strong again. Doubt I'll ever hit the platform, but being back in the gym, training and feeling good about myself is good enough!

    I like seeing the older members here.
    It is invaluable to get a perspective of older members thoughts. You are an asset to the oldest board there is.

    Thanks Obs! I'll be around, I'll likely post on training topics, lounge and old man type stuff. I've changed a lot of my opinions as I've gotten older, dealt with injuries and goals have changed. I'm happy to see the board is still active and doing well.
