    Hello from Denver

    Hi there.
    I'm 6'1"
    180lbs
    about 14% bf
    39 years old
    I have been lifting since about 1985.. I started in grade 8 after reading Arnold's book. I thought of myself as a hard gainer as I was very lean and strong.. I could bench 225 in grade 11 and was under 150 lbs. In university, I took one cycle of test and Dbol during which I gained major strength, about 17lbs of muscle and looked even leaner. I was given the gear by my training partner and took it without the knowledge of my close friends and family. After my considerable gains, many suspected me of taking steroids , and I quit cold turkey. I had no knowledge of PCT and thus lost all of my gains and more. I also got a nasty case of shoulder acne which i had managed to avoid during the cycle. Suddenly everyone was asking me what happened some new friends (i had just gone back to university) asked "didnt you used to be really big?"
    It was really tough not going back on. However, I'm glad I didn't as I still had very little knowledge and could have caused myself some real harm.
    Skipping ahead, I am currently 39 and have been working out hard for the last 2 years. I have manipulated my diet 2 years in a row.. gaining 35 pounds in fall, with some big increases in strength.. and then dropping fat in the new year with massive cardio and attempting to hang onto the strength and muscle gains. I have overall gained about 5 pounds in 2 years. I don't think I can put myself through that too many more times... and gaining so much fat doesn't seem the healthiest thing to do either.
    I am thinking of starting a new cycle in about August... I have been reading these forums for over a month and have learned a lot. I am still learning, but wanted to chip in and start contributing as I feel I still have tons to learn before I get started.

    goals

    Just a follow up.. I wanted to thank the members for welcoming me and add my personal goals.
    Hoping to bring weight up to about 205 and under 9% bf. Not in a big hurry... so once I suck up enough knowledge from the gurus here, will begin the new phase of my quest.
